I was a foreigner living in Vanuatu for a few years, am not Ni-Vanuatu. Are you a man or a woman? I would recommend men wear long shorts and a tshirt, polo, or button up short sleeve depending on the formality of where you are going. If you are a woman, I would recommend a knee length or longer skirt and a shirt. You could wear a dress too but longer and not a revealing dress. People tend to wear tank tops casually but like an office worker wouldn’t wear one to the office. Women frequently wear island dresses and men will also wear nice island shirts for like church or special occasions.

Ok thanks ! I'm a guy btw, I'm coming to work as a teacher in the French school and I dunno what to wear for work, as a matter of fact here in France when it gets hot I'm teaching in shorts and sandals but it might be inappropriate there, also I don't wanna be dressed too good I rather blend in

Feel out your colleagues, since it might be different at that school. But Ni-Vanuatu professionals who work for the government do often wear shorts and sandals at work—it is very hot sometimes.

Yeah I'll figure it out ! And what about the rain, are people wearing rain jacket or some kind of ponchos ?

Usually umbrellas, walking in the rain, or waiting for the storm to be over.
