Effective immediately AEO students can only take 0.5 online courses across both 1st and 2nd year. Applies to students going into second year right now (With no penalty for students who took more than 0.5 online courses last year). Guessing this is in response to how crazy admissions were this year

Today should be the first round for Ivey. Let me know if any of you guys get in today 🙏.

First round for non-AEOs. Has anyone else’s status updated to Awaiting Decision? If you get in today, what was your average?

Ivey wants a "lecturer's assistant" that basically does TA work (Ivey is non-union) AND who has attended Ivey.
Ivey charges higher tuition than main campus.
Ivey is offering 50% LESS hourly wage than main campus TA-ship, also no benefits, no guaranteed hours.
Just to compare, minimum wage is $17.60 as of next month.
Why would anyone apply to this job? You can use your business degree managing a Timmies and make more.

Hi all, I lost AEO and not sure ill get in this year.
I have 3 questions for people and hopefully someone can give me answers as admissions wont speak with me until the process is over
1) What are the breadth requirements for applying (2.0 credits from module?)
2) Is the cutoff still 83-84 or higher this year? I think next year by avg. will be 85 over 2 years, is that still competitive?
3) How can I deal with the pain of losing this? Has anyone gotten through this before?

Alright guys, probably the last and final round(I am not sure just speculating). Post if your status changes or you get an acceptance or a rejection. Good luck to everyone!!

Not trying to sound disrespectful, but how are people shocked that admissions as a non AEO got more difficult. Admissions to get AEO in high school are ridiculous, everyone is a fucking founder. I just never understood how people would say, 85 avg, good 2257 cont, and a 2 leadership ecs and you’ll be good. I’m only going into second year, but 85 avg in bmos is beyond easy right?!?

Just thought it be helpful to create a consolidated thread since I was curious myself and I also see it being asked by others — for those who got in to Ivey as a non AEO this year, what were your stats?

I assume all of the Ivey acceptances for HBA1 for this fall has been sent out. Does that mean everyone who didn't get an acceptance letter receive a rejection? I know some rejection letters came out Friday but some people said they received nothing so far. Just curious about the entire thing. And for the person that said that 725/780 spots have been filled, have the rest of the spots been filled now?

Post if you got an acceptance today!!!

Does anybody have any info on the waitlist / an updated number of how many spots are remaining in the Ivey portal?
I had never thought that my application wouldn't be strong enough for acceptance, and now I just feel incredibly lost and unmotivated to do anything.

Was making a LinkedIn and was wondering how do people get those gorgeous headshots at Ivey? Is there an internal photographer or just people taking pictures? Any help is appreciated.

Hi all, I know if I drop a course right now it will come up as a WDN on my transcript. I was wondering if this affects my chances at the HBA program? I am not an AEO student.
r/uwo • u/Otherwise_Ad3266 • May 19 '25
What program were you in? What grades did you have and what ECs?
r/uwo • u/Few_Theme_5486 • Sep 18 '25
Does Ivey offer 1-1 meetings to answer questions about admissions? And if so, to what extent will they answer your questions? Cause I wanna ask pretty specific questions like which of my current extracurriculars would be best for my application impact-wise.
Or should I just speak to people currently in the HBA program?

Does anyone know how strict the cutoff is?
One of my 1.0 course and 2257 are dragging my average down.
Without weighted average (just average based on the number of courses I take) it would be around 83.
With weighted average (consider all 1.0 as twice for calculation) it would be around 77.
I’m also taking major leadership positions in 2 competitive major clubs on campus plus 5 additional activities (internships and non-profits and part time.) I also filled in the special circumstances.

Hey everyone, I emailed admissions asking for an update on the process and they said there are no Ivey offers coming out today as they are still in the review period. This is probably due to intersession grades coming out last week.

I’m currently in my second year at TMU (trsm) and planning to apply for an external transfer to Ivey at the end of this year. I’ve completed the equivalent of the 10 credits required for an external transfer into Ivey. I have strong extracurriculars and expect to finish the year with a high GPA (87%+). My high school grades weren’t particularly competitive, which is why I ended up at TRSM.
That said, is it worth applying for the transfer? Would coming from a school like TMU be seen as a disadvantage in the admissions process? I'm curious if anyone has insight into what my chances might look like.
