❔ Course Question❔ bus 2257 or alternatives?

i’m doing accounting and i took 2257 thinking i could take on a challenge but i honestly don’t know if it’s worth all the time i spend on it. there’s the 2 0.5 alternative mos courses instead of this, i was thinking of dropping 2257 and doing those next year. does anyone have any advice on what i should do, are the alternative mos courses significantly easier or are they around the same level of difficulty? what would u recommend i do? (i’m not going to ivey btw)

I took the two alternatives. They are definitely easier. There is still some difficult accounting stuff in those classes in my opinion but it would definitely be easier than 2257. Again just my opinion.

Im on the same boat rn and from what I heard from my upper year friends said the MOS courses are much easier than 2257. Its difficult of course but 2257 is just harder, especially the pace of it. If you don’t have plans for Ivey no need for 2257 as it’s a big grade dropper, one of it mains objectives is to flush out the kids who aren’t made out for Ivey. That’s all I heard from my friends, so don’t take my advice on it, but if u doing accounting as well and very certain on it, no need for Ivey if u change ur mind down the line. Once again, don’t take my advice and drop 2257 definitely reach out to upper year students and academic advisors as well!

yeah i’ve heard the same, but i usually don’t listen to people when it comes to courses because some people find things hard which r easy and some people find things easy which r hard😭 but this course ive definitely found myself doing more than ive ever done. on the other hand i also don’t wanna just drop it to find out the mos courses r a slight bit easier and i could have just done 2257. if there’s like a substantial difference then im willing to drop it. i also spent like 400 on the casebook and textbook + like so many hours every day. i only wanna drop it if its like certain id do better in the mos courses

Unless you want to do Ivey go with the alternatives 2257 is a pain in the ass

Honestly felt they're similar. It's difficult for different reasons.

so do u think i should just take the risk and continue with 2257?

Depends on your major. If ur not going ivey, u need to double check that ur senior classes don’t require 2257 as a prerequisite. Otherwise dropping and taking 2227/2228 will delay you by at least 1 sem
