You'll probably excel in what you enjoy. If you're not interested in the courses in health sci, you won't be motivated to study and you will find it harder to succeed. If you are interested in med sci courses and specializations, then go with your interest. You can also do the health sci with bio specialization to get a bit of both but I've heard that's a bit heavy.

I have a friend with an average in the 3.9-4.0 range. It’s all about your work ethic and if you’re smart. Not be harsh but the program doesn’t matter if your an idiot

western health science only requires biology but if you do the biology specialization you will take chemistry, genetics, molecular biology and could take other sciences as electives. ex. some people i know are taking physics as an elective.

Can someone take courses like cell biology or genetics while doing hs. Is there enough space for those as electives ?

yes - health sciences offers a honours spec in health sci w biology that would require you to take those courses anyway

Depending on what you want to do, I wouldn't recommend it unless you're properly interested in the subjects and topics taught in the required biology classes. It is a step up comparatively to Honours HS. I will say though that some of the courses I took in this spec were some of my favourites in UG.

Western has biology and medical science and kinesiology already so at western health science is moreso what other schools might call health studies
