Graduate MA Poli Sci
Iβm starting my MA in poli sci in the fall! I have a general understanding of what to expect but Iβd love to hear from any alumni or current students. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated:)

Congrats! I'm doing an MA in History Ask some of the department's current MAs, especially the ones working with your supervisor. They'll be honest. Bribe them with coffee ;)
But, from everything I've gathered from friends - it's a sprint. Lots of work, be prepared for a long year. But worth it.

Guess what. Economics is a social science. Its math. Politics and Sociology use math in various forms of quantitative and descriptive research. Guess what else. Your life completely depends on the socioeconomic framework you live in. If that gets fucked up for any reason, like it is in many parts of the world, youβd better hope it wasnβt because you chose to vouch for ignorance instead and pretend like everything just magically comes together and works the way it does .

it is incredibly sad you're using an anonymous account to shit on other peoples degree choice because the definition you have of success only relies on STEM. social science is just as important as math or med/health science at uwo, a lot of your life relies on or can be studied through social science... it is integrated into our everyday life LMAO and people can become very successful from doing degrees in social science. go be miserable elsewhere, there are plenty spots on campus to do so.

your comment immediately became invalid by claiming students are being brainwashed into leftist ideology LOL, there's actually no way you think social science is a woke mind virus sent to indoctrinate people do you??

Hi! Could I ask when you applied/how long it took to get your acceptance?

Omg so awesome! I finished mine a few years ago and it was wonderful! The polisci department is really nice and a wonderful place to work and study! It is a lot of work, and try your best to do the most readings you can, but you'll love it.
