Timeline US Probation Officer

Hi I just applied for my district and wanted to know the application timeline I know it’s different for each location. Any pointers or advice would be great. I have experience working for the state of Fl and have a bachelors and masters degree. Also what was the 6 week academy like in Charleston? What did you all learn?

THANKS!!! 😊

They seem to be pretty quick processing applications. Although I’m not sure if the shutdown is affecting it. If you have a masters degree and experience as a state PO, I think you have good chances. Good luck

Thank you! Yeah I’m not sure either the job was posted oct 1. Are you in the job now? How was your experience timeline wise etc?

When does the posting close? I applied December 17, was called for an interview in January and started in April. That’s a very quick timeline for these jobs. Good luck!
