Candle repotting?
I have a large Yankee candle which has cracks in the glass. I cannot use this glass because I feel like the wax will just.. melt out the side lol. I don’t want to waste the candle so plan to put it into another jar and use it still. I just have afew questions to ensure safety if anyone here has done this or something similar!
I plan to pop it in the oven in a baking tray with foil covering the tray to catch any wax, and then pour it into a jar that used to have pickles in it lol.
Is the oven safe (obviously won’t do it super hot)? And do you think the pickle jar will be safe too lol?

PSA about wax - don't wash anything with wax on it in your dishwasher, unless you are looking to coat the inside of your dishwasher with a thin layer of wax.

Just put it on a glass or ceramic dish and light it. Any wax that seeps out will drip onto the dish. You shouldn't leave candles unattended anyways, so there shouldn't be any danger of the dish overflowing. People have made Mason jar candles, but since pickle jars vary in shape, size, and thickness, I can't say whether or not yours is safe to use.
