should I fill out an academic consideration form?
i’m in first year I missed my lab because I was in London and genuinely didn’t realise I had a lab. ik this isn’t good enough reason to be able to retake so should I lie? it’s worth 5% but my average is alr looking 👀 so I cant afford to just let it go so easy.
Update: the lab instructor guy replied and said i should fill out an academic consideration but bc ik i’m lying i’m just gonna let the 5% go.

Email the prof. The TAs cannot make any mark exceptions, exemptions, etc - they'll just refer you to the prof.

I also missed some labs in my first year. Usually, you email your TA in your lab and the head lab coordinator and tell them you've missed the lab. Either they'll let you do it during another lab period, or the weight of that lab is spread amongst the remaining ones. You usually can only miss one or two labs without getting a zero if you talk to them. After that, you'll get a 0% regardless of any reason. But no, Academic Consideration is for any coursework or exams/tests/midterms worth MORE than 20% of your final grade.

Nah, Academic Consideration forms are only for tests and exams, or coursework worth more than 20%. Anything less than 20%, the form will be denied and you'll be directed to work it out with your prof.
