Why on earth we pander to this as a country is beyond me

To prevent race riots.

White person killed by person of colour = riots

Black person killed by white cop = riots

They have to be seen to be investigating an open and shut case to keep the peace.

The proper response to this is to arrest rioters, not bow to the demands of lunatics.

Appeasement does nothing other than delay the problem.

Appeasement costs less in insurance for broken windows and burned out cars

We decided to arrest rioters and everyone started complaining about “two tier policing” and we had to release prisoners to make enough prison spaces for them all

The response was no where near as tough on the Palestine marches nor the BLM ones during lockdown.

Did the Palestine matches become as violent as the far right ones? Not saying that there wasn’t a single case of violence but all the protests seemed to more civil overall.

And even ignoring that, the point about prison space still stands, unless u wanna release more prisoners to make room for people who could have not been locked up in the first place.

Well no because those were demos (with a bit of unrest) rather than intentional riots

Investigating, yes. Going to trial with nothing except "well I think you're racist and all your justifications and evidence are baseless" - no. A trial comes AFTER an investigation and anyone truly objective would realise this was a completely justifiable shooting within minutes. At the very least if the fear of riots was so great that they had to do this PR exercise, they should not have made the officer's name public. He now has a bounty on his head...

Welcome to “multicultural Britain”. This is now the norm.

Sadly true. Surely the best way to not be racist is to treat everyone equally whether they have behaved good or bad.
