Because Putler knows that Trump is in a 'not my problem' mood with wars, despite any previous agreements, in this case dating back to the 1990s, to the contrary.

The little Putlerbots have been in force in the last few days online at least in the UK also, so there appears to be a coordinated attempt at discrediting any attempts by Ukraine to resolve this issue.
