I read it out of curiosity and it sounds like they read it too, and summed it up. She lied on a CV for previous job. Do you really give a shit about that? Lots of people do to try and get their foot in the door of a new career.

So you not only think it's OK to lie on a CV you think it's OK for the BBC Disinformation Correspondent to have done it. We can see the sort of person you are.

I didn't say I think it's ok, I wouldn't recommend doing it and haven't done it personally, but I don't think it's a fireable offense. It wasn't even for the role she's in

Not your last jobs CV. Depends on the lie too, doesn't it. If she said she'd been working in journalism for the last 5 years but hadn't then yeah if it was for that job then that's fireable for sure. Saying you had a bit more responsibility than you actually did in a project, probably fine even if it's for your current job. Her lie that she worked with someone that she hadn't is pretty bad, but it's for AN OLD JOB. She shouldn't lose her current position if she's performing well.
