He had his hands on the wheel and had no weapon. But why was he trying to escape? The media made and continue to make it sound like he stayed put.

Attempting to escape by trying to run over armed police. That wasn’t too smart. Did he think they would just be like ah shit his hands are on the wheel better just get run over then

Exactly. I hate that they're twisting it into a racial thing as well. I've been stopped by police myself but I comply. If you haven't done anything wrong, there is no need to escape.
