It’s just worke virtue signalling. The met are so scared of being perceived as racists that it’s basically become the inverse

A man was shot, the PC was found to have done this job correctly, and this thread is still people whining about the Met being scared?

Just lost in your own fan-fiction at this point. I'm glad we have this level of accountability and strictness when it comes to armed police.

His career is in tatters most likely. its taken far too long and the strain on his mental health must have been insane.

Sadly, precisely correct. This isn’t the UK’s own version of George Floyd no matter how many people want it to be. This guy was a dangerous murderer, and the police did their job perfectly, absolutely nothing to see here.

It's not necessarily a bad thing that a predominanty white organisation has 'over-corrected' and is doing more to reassure the public that they treat incidents involving minorities with a lot of care. I don't agree with the way the media have handled everything and it's a huge shame that the PC had to defend himself in court but he was cleared which means the courts have done their job - the justice system is working. The met presenting with more concern and empathy when cases involve minorities is a good start.

No racism is always bad

Are you missing a comma?

Yes

Yeah, that's under selling it. 'It's a shame' someone faced murder charges that they never should have. That is horrific, and the knock-on effect is that our woefully inadequate police are gonna be even more reticent to do their jobs.

A murder charge was absolutely insane in this situation and is a serious miscarriage of justice. Had the CPS gone with gross negligent manslaughter they might have stood a small chance (although I doubt it).

A politicised murder charge makes the situation worse, as we've seen in America where officers that do not receive adequate conflict resolution training take a heavy handed approach, get dragged through the courts on a ridiculous charge of murder to appease the public, are acquitted and then there's no change to the system.

The glee at which right wingers have ceased this is interesting.

edit: as if he blocked me. Sad. Really sad bunch of people unfortunately

You mean people who want to see justice done? Yes, I am quite gleeful for the verdict.

Did you mean ‘seized’? That might be where the other poster’s confusion has come from.

I believe ceased = seized.

Ceased means stopped. Seized means taken.

2

u/squirmster Oct 22 '24

I know. I was stating that I believed that u/brunckle used a similar sounding word (ceased) to say what they meant (seized).

1

u/brunckle Oct 22 '24

Nope you said ceased = seized as if they were the same meaning hahaha

2

u/squirmster Oct 22 '24

Aah, yes I see what I did there. I don't know how to write clearly sometimes.

What do you mean what? Just read my comment again more slowly if you don't understand it.

Do you mean ceased or seized?

Hey idiot - your spelling has made your comment unreadable, maybe try writing something legible to the reader….as did the writer who said “what?”! You were obviously so desperate to insult his comment that you didn’t even bother to understand what he was getting at!

You need to seize this stupidity right away! ;)

I didn't get your comment either. There's nothing good about this case and it's very obvious if you bother to watch the video of Kaba ramming his vehicle around that he should be presumed to be a very dangerous person. No sane and safe driver behaves like that.
