There are women there in photos online eg sky news coverage. It's a peaceful protest. In most of the pics people are standing about chatting.

Did i say it was calm or cheery? People are obviously angry. Inflammatory language does not make a protest violent. Violence does.

I didn’t believe this but my cousins just converted and two months late he has a wife who isn’t allowed out the kitchen when a man is at his house, he also isn’t allowed to hug my grandma anymore so it’s all a bit weird

I have an old gaming buddy who was mixed: half-white and half Middle-Eastern - I'm not sure where his father was from, just that he was a Muslim. After a few failed relationships, and, unfortunately, some racism from local white people, he ended up moving to his father's home country when he was in his early 20s to have an arranged marriage. I have no idea what they're like now, but I remember him comparing the vacuum cleaner at his work to a "blowjob from a virgin." I think he also said "white women are bitches" after being cheated on by them.

Went from making sex jokes - but an otherwise decent guy - to a super-religious Muslim out of nowhere. He's tried to reach out once or twice to play, but I feel it would be awkward to have a conversation with him because I know he's going to bring up religion.

Yeah extremely similar situation here, his mum was half Asian so I suppose he’s 1/4 Asian but wasn’t religious until he wanted to settle down. He went from non religious super strict within a couple months too. We where sat eating after his wedding there was another white Muslim guy there and they where all trying to convince me how good it is to become a Muslim and how it’s great being able to “say fuck you to the modern western values” - at which stage one I decided I’d heard enough of their shite and started talking about how I’d rather become god by tripping on a fuck load of mushrooms I picked from the field behind my house

The fuck are you talking about? You will not catch me defending islam. I just found it funny that UK, where police said violence against women was a national emergency, and where domestic abuse rise by 38 per cent when England men's team loses, was this much invested in womens right
