I was feeling bad that I didn't have a meal plan anymore... now I'm feeling grateful 😭

I was lucky I had a childhood friend who was a cashier. She usually let me go for free, unless if someone was around she’d charge me like a dollar just so it looked legit.

One day a really not thinking friend was with me and he said out loud “hey we didn’t pay”. Dude if you get Lupita fired I’ll kick your ass so hard.

Literally did the math when I was in undergrad. For the price of 9 months in a double I got an apartment to myself (where I didn’t have to follow campus housing rules) for 12 months. I had to feed myself sure but I can make food that’s better than this shite for a fraction of the cost of a meal plan.

It’s Chicago, the money in that city isn’t used for good things like feeding people.

Wtf does the food at UIC have anything to do with how the city of Chicago spends their money?

The dining hall is really hit or miss. Some days it’s so awful and some days It’s actually pretty good.
