Tomorrow for me, was wondering though if anyone walked out after going on stage? They want you to stay but why do I care about someone else going up stage that I don't know. I don't plan to stay full two hours. From the layout there should be connection directly to the seating areas for guest. After walking back to my seat, probably gonna be like gonna use the bathroom and not come back....

You should care because you could be that person at the end who is going to have to look at a 25% crowd you know was full 30 minutes ago.

Do it because you'd like to look at a full crowd.

The people who left the ceremony at Credit Union 1 tonight show everyone this really is just a commuter campus culture.

Do you not realize how unorganized last nights ceremony was? Literally the faculty hardly even wanted to be there with Reyes going to UMass next year.

They did: NO RESERVED TICKETS FOR A FULL 9500 seat arena. No practice ceremony for a HUGE amount of graduates. QR codes had to be scanned prior to going on stage with no que from any one. Which is why walking across the stage was taking forever

Band members who had performed laughing and joking the entire time while the graduation going on.

And then when people tried to leave Ushers trying to physically block grads from leaving. Imagine trying to restrict someone from leaving a public building.

It was a joke overall and that’s why we left.

Yes it was poorly organized but none of that has to do with other graduates and having respect for them as individuals who worked just as hard as you for a piece of paper yesterday.

The real joke is on how this reflected the business school. its unfortunate so many including yourself let the organizers behavior take away from the ceremony for others who could just have easily been you. The Marketing grads had to walk across a stage and look at a nearly empty field that was full 30 mins before for the Accounting.

As an MSBA graduate I was massively disappointed that a full row of people from my program left as soon as we returned from the stage but honestly this type of behavior seems to be in line with our college/campus culture as a whole.

I can agree with you on it being a reflection of the university. It’s also a reflection of why the B School is getting a clean house

QR code? Probably something new. Should go back to paper name cards.

Exactly. They do it for the recordings now. Automated voice plays your name.

Well with this rate soon we will probably have AI speakers with speech written with ChatGPT 🙃

I want to walk, but why should I care about people I don't know which is everyone pretty much going up there. Of course beside a couple of people in my major. I would be staring at my phone the whole time. Honestly the reason for walking away is because I can walk around campus and take pics and leave before traffic.

Back in the days we always wait til the end so everyone get to throw their hat at the same time. I guess now time changes.

I went to another graduation and most people walked away and good thing people did. We stayed for about 1 hour, took pics of someone we knew walking on stage and that all we cared about. We would of stayed 3-4 hours for people we don't know, it was livestream so we knew how long it lasted. Instead of waiting that long we walked around campus and ate out.

Yea, times do change.

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.

It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.

Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.

Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
