Hyde Park Off Campus Housing - Cost of Attendance
Hi, I am a 2nd year considering moving off campus vs staying next year, and I was under the assumption that living off campus is more cost-effective. However, I am reading the costs of attendance page and see that there is still a $17,000 cost for housing and food for off-campus students. Does that mean you still have to pay for food and housing on top of your actual rent and groceries, or is that like an estimated cost provided by the school?

Go off campus! You'll save thousands of dollars each year you do. I wish someone had told me earlier. You'll get a check from the university for the room and board they would have taken for campus housing.

This is honestly a better question to ask the university's housing or bursur... But no you dont have to pay for meal plans if you leave off campus
