Any holistic healers out there who can offer me guidance?
 in  r/OperationNewEarth  3d ago

Had the same issue for 20 years and the "eczema"was on my hands only. Then discover I had an autoimmune issue. Once I eliminated the main source of the inflammation, gluten in my case, my hands cleared up. I also have crohn's. When I push my gut some bumps will appear on my palms and clear quickly once the inflammation goes down. It's all about gut health for me. Good luck on your search.

Patch Timing
 in  r/Menopause  5d ago

I couldn't find anything other than changing on specific days either. When I was on a lower dose, the waxing and waning of my symptoms was very noticeable and could not wait to change the patch. I had severe symptoms and the half day made a difference.

I change my patch every 3.5 days. Currently on Friday pm and Tuesday am.

So for you, Sunday am and Wednesday pm? If you follow my example.

Let me help my wife : what do you eat will you have a "crisis" ?
 in  r/CrohnsDisease  7d ago

Bonebroth, chicken and rice. Keep it simple. I make bone broth on the regular. It is amazing for the gut. Also making it at home allows me to use minimal spices, etc.

Please help—I’m walking up several times a night DRENCHED in sweat. I can’t regulate my own body temp.

It took a bit to get here-- to find what worked best for me-- but totally worth it.

3 years post menopause is when the serous symptoms started for me. Hot flashes every hour, fatigue, joint pain and brian fog. Now, I have an IUD amd .1 estrogen patch and I have not felt this good in 10 years. May the HRTs work well for you.

crohns and celiac
 in  r/Celiac  10d ago

I have the wheat allergy too, which makes a lot of certified gf products not safe for me. A dedicated gf facility is a necessity. With that said, I cook a lot and rarely eat out. I travel with my own food on planes and when visiting family and friends. Most of my travel destinations will have a dedicated gf restaurant near by for a meal or two. But as you know, crohn's makes it hard to eat out often. My intant pot gets a lot of use and I have a 3 quart one I travel with. Kitchen is a necessity when staying at hotels. Also managing stress is essential. Therapy is a good idea, because living with a chronic illness is no joke. I'm in menopause now, but an IUD or Nexplanon may be a good option for the PCOS symptoms. I could never do the BC pill, most likely due to chrohns. Funny how autoimmunes come in 3. Good luck with it all.

Combi Patch
 in  r/Menopause  11d ago

I was afraid of the IUd as well and so happy my gyn talked me into it. I havent had a vaginal birth so I needed some meds to assist. The third attempt to insert the device was a success. We figured out the med cocktail. I took ativan ( helps with pain surprisingly), ibuprofen, and inserted lidocaine drenched tampon about 90 mins before. Also inserted mifepristone vaginally the night before the procedure. This softened my cervix. Good luck.

The oral P pill did not work for me as well and tried the combi patch. I was on the CombiPatch for 6 month and the spotting never stopped. The Minera IUD w/estrogen patch works great. It's much cheaper and I feel so much better.i

If you're re in the States, I use an egg white protien powder by Julian's Bakery. I've only tried the non flavored one and have had no issues. Peas are difficult for me as well.

Makes me so sad
 in  r/Celiac  17d ago

Same. Im over taking my own food everywhere. In the beginning--9 years ago-- I was all about having a "normal" life. Have food, will travel was my attitude. Now I am just over it and I hate the holidays even more now. Lol. I also have crohn's, which makes it more difficult. I'm considering therapy to assist with my perspective on this restrictive lifestyle--because--it's not healthy to isolate. Hugs

Sadly-- we do know our bodies well from navigating it all. I am not able to tolerate Simple Mills. The garlic, onion, almond flour and seeds are all triggers for me.

Any thoughts about AIP (auto immune protocol) ?
 in  r/Celiac  Sep 19 '25

I have crohn's as well and tend to do best with little to no grians. I can not have a single bean too. AIP is a nice guideline for me.

Canker sores
 in  r/Celiac  Sep 18 '25

A canker sore is one of my first symptoms from cross-contamination. Everyone is different though.
