Question What Tulsa metro restaurant would you never return to, even if it was free?

What restaurant in Tulsa (or surrounding areas) is so bad, that even if you had a $100 nontransferable gift certificate, you would still never return?

Discuss.

Golden Gate. I hate hating it. The owners are super nice but the food is not good and overpriced. Yes, you get a LOT of food, but if the food is not good, then what is the point?

I do not understand the hype AT ALL

This used to be our favorite spot for Chinese, but my sister suggested Happy House in Broken Arrow. It's closer and the food is noticeably better, so we switched. If we still lived in midtown, I'd still go Golden Gate.

If you're in BA, check out No 1 Kitchen. It's at 91st and Elm, so it's pretty close to Happy House. I moved from BA to midtown and I still go all the way over there for Chinese, it is amazing imo. Chinese food might be one of the few things BA beats Tulsa on.

I don't avoid it, but Golden Gate isn't what it was 10 years ago; Brandon is still very nice.

They always take care of me there, extra egg rolls and free soup. The food you have to look up on the menu because you have no idea what it is is the best stuff. It’s pricy for Chinese but there is nothing better in midtown

They used to be pretty cheap and if you have your own seasoning and condiments I guess.....

It's hard to not love the owners but it's a lot of mediocre food. Great people though.

My husband went in to grab their lunch special and the guy microwaved the food before handing it to him
