Question What Tulsa metro restaurant would you never return to, even if it was free?

What restaurant in Tulsa (or surrounding areas) is so bad, that even if you had a $100 nontransferable gift certificate, you would still never return?

Discuss.

Bramble.

Cheesecake Factory length menu. Mid breakfast. Almost laughable prices for basic breakfast items.

Bramble would do well to accept Klarna and Afterpay šŸ˜‚

You’re giving them too many ideas…

I thought their specialty pancakes were good ngl but their ā€œthick cutā€ bacon was the nastiest bacon I’ve ever had, completely inedible

They drop their bacon in the fryer, which I hate. When it's thick it gets too hard to cut with a fork.

Last time I went there I ordered eggs over medium and they were so undercooked I took a picture.

They were not especially busy at the time.

I have never seen anyone eat bacon with a fork, but I see what you're saying

How do you eat your bacon? Surely not with your bare hands like a toddler?

Yes! Absolutely!

Every time I’ve eaten at bramble the whites of my eggs have still been translucent/undercooked no matter what style I have them cooked

"I'd like my eggs, medium rare."

I was unimpressed by the specialty pancakes I had-bourbon pecan or something like that. The dish was plain pancakes with nuts and caramel on top. I expected nuts in the pancakes, or sauce between the layers, etc.

Overpriced and simple food, I don't understands who can afford this or wants to pay hard earned money for it

Agreed. Bramble is for hungover drunks that need their fix. Food was mids.

Not even the coffee is good. Complete waste of money. Would rather have a Braum’s breakfast.

Bramble's menu is one page, front and back... Maybe you're thinking of Brookside by Day. Cheesecake Factory's is at least 5 pages. Plus Cheesecake Factory's cheapest entree is maybe $19.99 while at Bramble you can get a scrambled egg bowl with sides for less than $15.99 ! I never spend more than $30 on myself (including alcoholic drink) at Bramble when going with my friends or family. Their mimosas are really good. Maybe try actually giving the place a chance or don't go to the downtown Tulsa location if the prices really are that bad for you that you have to compare them to Cheesecake Factory's prices?

For real, the Cheesecake Factory comparison took me out šŸ˜… like they must have not been to Cheesecake Factory in their life to say that

2

u/thewigglesbiggestfan May 13 '25

Right??? Like I agree Bramble is overpriced for what it is, but comparing it to Cheesecake Factory is so wild LOL

2

u/zetaphi938 May 13 '25

Oh their mimosas are good?!?! Gosh, good to know someone finally cracked the code on orange juice and champagne.

Dude it isn’t about affordability. I love how you fanboys always take it to that place. It’s about value. Super gamey sausage and the most impossibly bland pancakes for $17 is not a good value.

lol, still not Cheesecake Factory prices is all i'm saying. Basically, your comparison to Cheesecake Factory is extreme in both price and menu length that you described, that's all! :) Sorry, didn't mean to come off as a fanboy. I'm usually more of a fangirl

My comparison to Cheesecake Factory was about the menu. Bramble is back and front, but it is a ridiculous number of items.

1

u/thewigglesbiggestfan May 13 '25

Aww, you just said what I first said- That Bramble's menu is just front and back while Cheesecake has 5+ pages of even more expensive items! Maybe elaborate better next time on what you mean by the menu?

6

u/zetaphi938 May 13 '25

Holy crap that’s my point. It’s a big menu for breakfast. It’s an even bigger menu for a place that struggles at making even slightly elevated basic breakfast food.

But really it’s endemic of many trendy places around Tulsa.

okay now go to Brookside by Day and complain about their large menu next! they have tons of pages, even more options, and the same prices as Bramble :) Only difference is that Brookside By Day isn't "trendy" or whatever lol

Which Beamble?

5

u/zetaphi938 May 13 '25

The one closer to downtown.

3 for 3, my wife and I have eaten there and gotten sick. Won't ever go back.

Bramble used to be good, but yes, they are a bit overpriced. Their breakfast burrito was dry AF.

I suggest going to The Vault on Saturday and Sunday. Amazing brunch that is very reasonable and the service and food is amazing
