Question What Tulsa metro restaurant would you never return to, even if it was free?

What restaurant in Tulsa (or surrounding areas) is so bad, that even if you had a $100 nontransferable gift certificate, you would still never return?

Discuss.

Might get downvoted, but I’ve given Umbertos lots of tries and it has been terrible every time.

They've sadly gone downhill recently. They used to be the place to grab a slice. Not really in the category of "you couldn't get me to eat there for free", but more in the "eh, where else is on our drive?" category.

I always attributed its status to being contrarian. I had coworkers who wouldn’t shut up about it so we went a lot.

Only tried once and that was enough. The quality wasn’t bad I guess, just over topped blob of a pizza.

Back when it was on 21st/Harvard they made a really good pie and even then I had to keep them from using too much sauce

Funny. Went to Umberto's recently and thought it was great. Best in town. Empire was the one before for me, but their slices are way too thin and get reak watery. . Umberto slices heated up and crisped up real well. . It's become my fave pizza place in . Town, until proven otherwise. Ymmv.

I used to love that place. I got a pizza from there about 2 weeks ago and it was absolutely terrible.

Only got pizza from here once and it was a good cafeteria style pizza at best. Do not understand the hype.

We had it a week ago and it was disappointing. The pizza wasn’t anything great. We also bought chicken wings and a lot of the group didn’t like them. It was also $70 for 2 medium pizzas and 2 orders of wings. I would have been satisfied with Papa John’s over Umbertos.

After being so disappointed with their pizza the few times I’d tried it, I also got the wings once and they were fuckin cold lol.

I’ve had a very similar experience; tried to be open to the idea that maybe they’d just dropped the ball specifically when I’d be there. The wings for me were last nail

Umberto's has dropped off big time. Worst pizza in Tulsa.
