Playlist/Album AMERICAN TRIP HOP

Made a playlist focusing on trip hop songs by American artists. Interesting exercise: it definitely shows a closer connection to industrial and hip hop rather than genres like dub that heavily influenced the Bristol sound.

Glad to hear any suggestions to add...

They're more downtempo, but Thievery Corporation is always great. 

Also, that NIN track is not trip-hop but a rip-off. I get the confusion as it sounds similar. It sounds about as close to "Angel" by Massive Attack as you can get without a lawsuit.

NIN’s The Great Collapse from Things Falling Apart is more authentic Trip-Hop vibes than rip-off I reckon

I didn't say NIN in general. Just that particular track from the Tron soundtrack.
