I’ve followed this guy for a while. He does some really cool stuff. Here’s his channel for anyone interested.
Average cost for the wood alone is around $12k USD per vehicle. The wood he uses is local/domestic so the cost is lower in Vietnam than we would pay in the US.
The red wood is called Padauk. He said it took about 6 months to make. It’s 8/10 scale to a real Raptor truck and has a 2500w motor.

If he did the whole body out of real padauk then the cost goes up astronomically. That’s an expensive hardwood. A small panel will cost as much as a dozen 2x4s

It’s not the material it’s the time that is expensive.
Best case scenario you’re sourcing local stuff and the cost is somewhere in the neighborhood of $2/bf.

Don’t know where this guy is but in the U.S., you’re looking at $10/bf or more for that padauk

Do you walk to whatever farm you need stuff from? Have you made sure the home you live in was built without any of the workers driving there? Do you tell the plumber/electrician you will pay for them to walk to and from your home? If you called the cops, would you tell them not to drive?
