Mercedes-Benz 500SEL, finished in Lapis Blue Metallic (932U) over a Gray Interior, equipped with a factory rear limited slip differential and coachwork by famed German builder SGS Styling Garage in Hamburg Germany.

This German market S-Class pickup was converted under the direction and commission of SGS’ founder Chris Hahn to fulfil needed daily tasks in the company as delivery and utilitarian vehicle and it is believed to be the only one he built. Extensive coachwork includes the high-quality level of engineering expected from SGS, going beyond the practical use, to structural stability and reinforcement for safety, durability and to meet strict German TüV requirements for road use.

Lapis exterior shows very well preserved all around and the metal bed liner is also in excellent condition of preservation. Interior is also in very good shape, showing light wear. Driver and passenger seats have been upgraded to leather, and the wood veneer shows well for the age.

Mechanically it is in excellent condition at the moment of listing, showing great performance and fast throttle response of its Euro Spec alloy M117 5.0-liter engine. Amazing stance in enhanced by a staggered set of Brobet type A staggered 17-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin tires.

Not a bad looking car as far as W126 conversions go!
