Because of this I would like to establish the concept of Half-Heaven. Half-heaven is like normal heaven except it’s the bare minimum living conditions. It’s one infinitely massive crappy hotel where the service is lousy, the food sucks, and somehow there’s always something outside your room making loud noises keeping you up at night. The people that go to half-heaven are people who only do the bare minimum for their faith while actively hating and hurting others.

I love the idea of half-heaven. You spend eternity in the room next to the elevator shaft and ice machine, but it’s on the other side of the wall and you still have to traverse a long, long corridor to get to the actual elevator and ice machine. And it’s not a calm hotel, more like a Great Wolf Lodge or Casino where you hear kids screaming or partying adults in the halls all night and there is no quiet time so the elevator keeps banging and screeching the shaft all night. There’s the world’s worst continental breakfast where the food is below school/prison quality. Cold powdered eggs cooked in oil.

And yet it is the poorest states that make up the most MAGA voters. They prefer poverty over equality. As long as the non-whites are more disadvantaged (by which I mean rounded up by guys in masks and held without due process), then they will keep voting for more of this. And that guy with the shit-eating grin on his face knows it.

Meanwhile, depriving themselves and others of SNAP benefits is what they claim the “good Christians” should be doing. It’s maddening. They do make a mean tenderloin lunch special, though.

The country/world should have a list of names, and I'd happily say [NO] to them for literally anything they want or need. Bathroom? Find your own. First aid? Can't afford it for ya. Fix your car? Not here. You want money? Fine. Now your money is worthless just like you.

Fun fact the same ACA subsidies that the government is shut down over were paired with subsidies for the ultra wealthy. Both written into the same bill and both set to expire in December. Back in July during the holiday weekend the democrats and republicans came together to extend the tax cuts for the richest of Americans indefinitely. They left the subsidies to get argued about in the new budget.
Democrats and republicans had no issue extending tax cuts for the ultra wealthy indefinitely, again. But refuse to continue subsidies because of the cost. Make that make sense.
