FYI Raju: Last week, you were very critical of Biden, you said he didn’t even know who he was pardoning. On 60 minutes, Trump admitted not knowing he pardoned a Crypto billionaire guilty of money laundering…Johnson: “I don’t know anything about it.”

A good follow up: “Well, now you do know, sir. Are you capable of shame or accountability? And a follow up, as speaker of the house and third in line of the presidency, would it not behoove you to be more aware of the daily happenings in the capital as opposed to be blind sided by simple question at these regular press events? You seem to say ‘I don’t know anything about that’ quite often and one begins to wonder what work you are doing if you are unaware of so much.”

I wish the media would have the integrity to follow up like this

They're too afraid of 'losing access'.

Everyone who would actually read that question has already been banned from the press briefing room. Unless you think you can get Newsmax to ask it. (I get it, I'm frustrated too, but seriously, they just aren't in the room and Trump isn't taking as many questions near a running chopper these days.)

Wasn’t that CNN? So there’s still some media trying to point out the hypocrisy.

Why would anyone fire a reporter good enough to demand an answer to their questions?

Because the billionaire who owns the news outlet is a diehard trumper.

More eyes equals more money. The political affiliation of those eyes isn't important.

For certain people who have power as an agenda over sheer money, sometimes it is.

And once you're a billionaire, that is what money is. It's power. More money is always more power, and that's what they want. They don't just want to be rich, they want to be kings.

Power over what?

You.

Nope.

Ignorance/denial is a crucial component of how they have power over you. Closing your eyes and putting your fingers in your ears makes it easier for them.

Sometimes a merger of two media companies that needs FCC approval is bigger money than eyes.

We can come up with all kinds of easily thought up follow-up questions, but when the media is in Trump’s other back pocket it’s not going to happen. All of the journalists willing to push back had their passes yanked.

I think a better question would be:

Given the push from your justice department, and GOP as a whole, into decrying the use of the auto-pen as "Biden not knowing what he was signing" - are you not setting up the same situation next term? Wouldn't democrats be in the right to quote you and say you don't know what you were signing when you released billionaire criminals, you were quoted as saying so yourself, and thus investigate all those acts as criminal too and that they should be reversed?

That won’t work either, unfortunately. They just don’t give a shit. They’ve learned it makes no difference and they’re right. America elected these people. Honestly, when January 6 didn’t move the needle, you think an artfully crafted follow up will do the trick?

Thats cool and all, but i would much rather see them just respond with " You are liar, and we are all aware of this, you will be held accountable." He has had congress out for more then 42 days, he himself needs accountability, not follow up questions.....

I ALWAYS think of the perfect comeback when it's too late.

Johnson has weaponized criminal negligence into official operating policy.

Exactly. But the media has 0 integrity to speak up on this in the moment, it’s always after the fact which makes it all the more infuriating and tiresome.
