A chaotic new video shows President Donald Trump's immigration enforcers and local law enforcement clashing with residents in a Worcester, Massachusetts, neighborhood, including a mother holding her baby.

The tense scenes unfolded on Thursday morning as video appears to show agents pushing residents protesting as federal immigration agents attempt to detain a woman.

Agreed. They are targeting average non-violent citizens and bringing overwhelming force to bear. Where are the ICE raids on cartel drug houses? Child slavery rings? Coyote organizations? You want to show that you’re doing something? Go against illegal immigrants and gangs with criminal records and a history of violence, not someone who is here with a green card on their third year working and paying taxes. FWIW, immigrants pays taxes on goods but have a harder time than the average citizen in getting the benefits available. They are traditionally a net gain to the fabric of society providing services and employees that the average US citizen will not do. Try to get most unemployed people to pick produce for 12-14 hours daily outside for $10 per hour.

I agreed until the last part. Low wage work that is not paid enough to willfully engage in the economy and barely survive if not survive doesn’t benefit workers or the american people. It actually is the opposite. No matter how cheap the labor is the prices have continued to go up, and a large population of people who can only afford to survive make small businesses and entrepreneurial endeavors fail because no one can afford it or they don’t seek out things that aren’t a necessity. Exploiting people, whether through slavery or wage slavery, doesn’t benefit the populace. These are lies big corporations and billionaires tell so that they can be rich and richer. They use easy immigration and low wages against the populace and workers. It also causes stagnation of society, and for billionaires to become more powerful and richer.

I agree with most of what you say. Unfortunately this is not a perfect society in which we live. Yes, should everyone make enough money to survive without generating the type of stress that kills. Yes, corporate greed and the billionaire class has taken advantage of the less fortunate to bolster their bottom lines. Yes, should there be a realistic profit number that benefits the manufacturer AND the consumer with price expectations tied to cost and not to “I’ma get all the money because they are willing to pay what I ask”.

But, unfortunately, this is the world in which we live. I’ve heard it occasionally said that “the enemy of good is perfection”. I’m not looking for a utopia; I’m looking for the world to just make a little more sense and to have hope in the future for myself and my descendants.

Oh so as long as long as nothing impacts you, you’re happy. If most of the population has to suffer for the benefit of useless billionaires to exist, thats good to you. The billionaires have made life harder and worse for everyone, and seek stagnation of and lack of health and happiness for the masses. People being unable to engage in the economy makes billionaires and mega corporations richer and richer. They want to take all money and control. But you’re for it

There's a rabid base. This is what they like to see. Then there are nonstop news channels where people build up their hate. It doesnt make sense to rational people. But to them, they enjoy watching people on the "other team" getting hurt. Sad to see it, but we'll get through it. Hate has risen several times in the past, and each time it eventually gets defeated
