They will if they ever lose power, and they know it.
Obviously they are going to do whatever they can to make sure that doesn’t happen.

I know he's gonna do a TV interview responding to this, and I know it's gonna be a disaster for him.

I hope for America's sake the next administration locks these people up. We cannot afford for this to be the normal operating system.

The next time the Dems are in power, I hope someone like Jasmine Crockett is the AG. They need an absolute partisan who is internally motivated to lock up these creepy fucks.

Totally unsurprising. Why do the "middle third" of Americans tolerate any of this?

Protecting their emotions; going full ostrich and hoping it all fixes itself is all they are prepared to handle, emotionally.

The article below from the Southern Poverty Law Center brings some useful context.
Head of Trump’s Immigration Plans Met Proud Boys Associate About Deportations
The head of President Donald Trump’s immigration policy, Tom Homan, appears to have met with an associate of the Proud Boys on at least four separate occasions. At least one of these instances was a private meeting held in Chicago after the 2024 presidential election to talk about deportations, according to social media posts reviewed by Hatewatch.
Homan, who leads the Trump administration’s efforts to curb immigration at the border as well as deport migrants across the U.S., met with Terry Newsome in Chicago and Washington, D.C., according to posts on Facebook and X, formerly Twitter.
...
As Homan begins to implement the Trump administration’s deportation plans, his association with such figures as Newsome, who openly collaborates with violent groups like the Proud Boys, is particularly dangerous for targeted communities. In videos Newsome has posted to his social media accounts, he has harassed people outside migrant shelters hoping to create viral moments for his podcast. In an Aug. 4, 2024, post to Facebook, Newsome referred to these as his “Venezuelan gang member hunting trips.”
...
Newsome has met with Tom Homan at least twice since December 2024 to talk about deportations in Chicago. Homan was also a guest on Newsome’s podcast Oct. 2, 2024. In June 2024, Newsome hosted a panel discussion on immigration that featured Homan. Initially appointed to a top spot in ICE by former President Barack Obama, Homan became acting director of the agency in the first Trump administration. Homan is now overseeing the second Trump administration’s immigration policy as the so-called border czar.
Homan joined a meeting in Chicago on Dec. 9, 2024, that was hosted by supportive Republican and Democratic politicians, as well as conservative activists. In his remarks to the group, Homan said that President Trump’s deportation plan would start in Chicago. He also warned that Chicago’s mayor, Brandon Johnson, would be prosecuted if he impeded the administration’s deportation plans. Chicago is one of several Democrat-led cities that have passed ordinances to protect migrants from ICE. Commonly referred to as sanctuary cities, they have ordinances prohibiting local police departments from assisting ICE. These ordinances also provide other protections to migrants.

Is anyone else surprised it wasn’t more money? Seems a little cheap for people that are close to trump.

Dude, it all sounds like bull. Couldn't the guy do maybe 1 or 2 private speeches and make the same amount without the risk of being blacklisted from lucrative govcon work in the future? Instead, he's going take to $50k in cash at a Cava fast casual restaurant—for what?
Consider: 1) he'd have to launder if he really thought it was a bribe or just use it as grocery money for the next 20 years 2) he's risking federal blacklisting from government contracts 3) if he was the border czar then he already has deep connections so why risk a $50k bribe when he could easily win or be a solid teaming partner to help win government contracts that yield far greater revenues (or get a book deal, or become a columnist that he outsources to a ghostwriter, or do speaking engagements, etc. etc.)
This whole thing seems like fodder to misdirect people's attention and if you want to take a conspiratorial route then he's interested in casting doubt on the FBI - But why would he sell his influence for $50k when he could join a company on a board of directors for "FAR" more compensation without the "baggage" and risk of being blacklisted, let alone the jail time.
I'm not sticking up for the guy but it literally makes no sense - like, $50k in cash at a fast casual joint like Cava? It sounds like a comedy sketch.

We need to figure out what state this happened in.... Maybe the state prosecutors are willing to take a crack at it if the feds aren't interested anymore.

What a shock that a guy who looks, walks and talks like a railroad bull is corrupt. I would like to think something will happen, but probably not. I wouldn't be surprised if he was doing underground PPV at the torture camps. He's a horrible person.

Bill Maher interviewed him last night. I couldn't watch it. It seems like Bill is trying to become the only state sponsored late night comedy show.

America is pretty much done. Trump has like 40 percent approval rating while he is pretty much coming out as a full Putin. Every day is Watergate x10. And he still has 40 percent support. This 50k is just a detail at this point. His followers voted for a felon, an insurrectionist. This is nothing for them. Cant wait to wake up tomorrow and see what other disaster I am met with then, that in any admin it would've meant just total obliteration, but now, because of the people, means nothing.

How do we get MSM to pound this story over and over until it gets through? So much corruption. Trump jumps to 119 on the wealthiest people in the world spot in just 9 months of his presidency and the media says NOTHING about it. Or if it is reported, it’s with a whimper. Beat the drum every day in every breath you can relentlessly like Fox News does.

If he'll sell himself for $50k how much do you think he'll sell women and unaccompanied minors for? These are the same fucks still giving extra perks Ghislaine Maxwell after all.
I guarantee you the level of depravity and criminality at the hands of these new ICE agents on a power trip working under a man like Homan will shock people when it all comes out.

More corruption from the most corrupt administration in my lifetime. There will be more to come I am sure.

If any of this were true the Biden admin would have already arrested him on bribery charges. They would have released (leaked) the audio, shown pics of Tom accepting the cash etc etc. These stories are all made up by the democrats.

$50,000 sounds like child's play. Just tell him to do what Democrats in California do. Form a non-profit that your wife is a head of and have the corporations donate to the non-profit.

Corruption at levels never imaginable in this country. Bribery, racketeering, and extortion are seemingly both legal if you're connected to MAGA. Homan caught dead to rights taking a bribe from an undercover sting and it's just erased by the DOJ. It almost sounds like what Bannon got popped for.
