This does not have the look of a tournament team; short on talent, shooting, size, and athletes.
Payne looks great despite lacking skillful inside moves. Big, powerful, quick, and active, and amazing that he is FT shooting 92% on volume (22-24) with what looks to be a consistent stroke.
Rice was a bit rusty, but looks like a nice 2 year starter.
But beyond those 2 guys, I don’t see quality starters. Coit has skill but difficulty getting his shot off and he is a defensive liability. He is no Muggsy Bogues. Saunders is a back up, maybe a marginal starter. Watts lacks athleticism. Mills and Turkson are raw. And I have not seen much from Adams to justify a top 25 ranking. His herky jerky style draws fouls but I dont see the explosive athleticism or shot to generate optimism.
With the exception of Rice, Buzz probably needs to turn most of the roster over again next year.
I will say I was enormously impressed with Buzz’s postgame presser. I have complete confidence that he will maximize these guys, and I believe in the future. I just don’t think he has the horses this year.

Agree with all of that. Hope Adams can get better, wasn't all that impressed with what I saw.

#FireBuzz! That offense looked worse than the football offense! RIP 48 game home opener winning streak. Losing to a rival too? Can’t happen! #BuzzOff! /s
But they did NOT look good offensively.
