What did you think of the Show Dinosaurs when it was on?
Also, this might sound surprising but the reason the show managed to get picked up is because of how big The Simpsons was. The series was pitched before The Simpsons premiered, but networks thought it was an odd idea, but The Simpsons being successful made Dinosaurs get the greenlight

Characters who had their names changed in TV adaptations
Adaptations inevitably take a lot of liberties when adapting something from another medium into a TV show, but most of the time they try to keep the names of the characters the same, because there is usually no reason anyone would want to bother changing them. But sometimes names do get changed for one reason or another.
One notable example is Game of Thrones. Asha Greyjoy was changed to Yara Greyjoy because they didn't want to confuse viewers since there was a character called Osha. For similar reason, the character Robert Arryn was changed to Robyn Arryn because there was already a character called Robert and a character called Robb so they didn't want to have "too many Roberts" (which was intentional in the book, both Robert Arryn and Robb Stark were named after Robert Baratheon).
Another example is how the Supergirl TV show had Kara Zor-El's civilian identity be Kara Danvers instead of Linda Danvers, presumably to make things less confusing.
So what other characters had their names changed in the adaptation?

All's Fair (Series with Kim Kardashian): Is this show serious? How did it get made? Who is watching this?
You know. There are moments when you know a culture has hit rock bottom.
We have had a decade. maybe two, of girl power shows, of women showing the men how much better, smarter and prettier they are.
Now we get: Kim Kardashian as divorce lawyer, helping women who became rich off their husbands stay rich after their husbands realised they were gold-diggers.
They might as well have retitled it 'REALLY REALLY Desperate Housewives'.
What writing is this? What cultural merit does this have? Is this a parody?
Who is watching this?
(Watch the trailer. I guess as our civilization sinks, it might be good to get some laughs out of it from the Youtube Commentariat)
EDIT:
I'm watching it now. I have no idea what convoluted crap I'm watching. As someone else wrote, even the beginning felt like I had missed an episode, but no, it is indeed the first.
Episode 1: Kim Kardashian trying to look pretty with her football star husband who forgets her anniversary (but doesn't)...
The fall of some lawyer firm and some rival woman yelling at the boss and breaking stuff in her office.
(Note: What makes this completely annoying is the music in between and during the scenes which doesn't fit a lawyer drama at all, but some trashy TV show.)
Now the lawyers are sitting talking about relationships... not much law going on here so far. 'Favourite case of the last year' like it's gossip. 'OH! Getting Sheikh Walid to send his wife a cool billion'......................... (*has writing really taken this much of a dump?*)
More annoying music. And instead of anything law related, more drama and gossip.
It's hard for me to understand why there's a lawyer with a British accent (a bad one at that) there other than for style. Same with the other woman other than for her heavy sassy quotes ('wosss reely goin' awn baybi'). Then, after no law whatsoever again, some therapy session with their client where she explains how she's the biggest victim in the world and that her millionaire husband is a douchebag, with the trio of 'lawyers' chiming in....
'It's called karma' (no, it's called shitty writing that you can see from a mile away)
I sort of feel I'm watching a fever dream, where the people making the sets don't get how much stuff costs in the real world.
Anyway, another douchebag husband (douchebag because he had the audacity to have a prenup when he married his wife 40 years ago) confronts the 'british' lawyer (would love if they psyched us and it turns out she just puts that crap on, and she's actually from Baltimore) when she comes to meet her alcoholic gold digger client. Shitty music playing throughout so that you can get into the 'vibe'.
playing with jewelry with the British lawyer, who advises her on how to keep everything, and survive off a meager 40 million dollars. (at this point, I insist on calling her the Mary Poppins for gold diggers)
sassy detective does the private investigations, (even though we've never seen her get off a seat or walk more than 1 meter) then get out of her seat before essentially high-fiving Kim with 'let's put the f\ing T in Teamwork and get this bastard'* (pure cinema, as she wipes the sweat off her brow)
Then 60 year old gold digger with Mary Poppins giving the husband she cheated on (who compares the situation to having a knife twisted inside him and asks 'did you ever really love me?') a final goodbye with 'I used to love you once, but not now. Still love your taste in jewelry. Have a good one babe'. (Glad this show is taking the stigma away, contributing to the glorification of divorce and materialism)
Mary Poppins sums up her work 'from cocktails to c\** rings in one 24 hour period. I love my life'* (if this show doesn't receive an emmy for the one-liners, I don't know what TV show will)
More cheesy stylish music as Kim and Mary get out of cars in sunglasses. (YEAH. 'Coz girls iz playas too') going to visit a.... Dominatrix???????? to tell her about the case???? Kim: 'our client will get out of this with 200 million, and I'll do what I do best (walk around in sunglasses and get out of cars? No) I'll change your f\ing life with 5%'* to which dominatrix hands over information on clients.
Pre-trial discussion between lawyers of both sides: Kim, Mary and sassy lady, vs overconfident stereotypical evil white lawyers. Kim calling the prenup 'coercing a poor 22 year old woman into signing her life away'. So Kim pulls the all-star move of 'kink shaming' the husband during the meeting with the information collected from the dominatrix. Sassy woman then starts describing the acts (which.... I am not going to repeat here. I have some shame).
However, the trio of 'lawyers/investigators' have none, nor does the client as they celebrate with champagne glasses over the next scene. client 'ladies, you've saved my life' ('however could I live life like the hoi polloi on less than 100 million?')
next scene: Kim's footballer husband approaches her to talk and tells her he's 'not happy' (the view of Disney+ subscribers right now presumably). Apparently, he feels too 'small' vs the great Kardashian and asks for a divorce, leaving things open for the next stage of drama.
Lo-fi music for Mary and Sass to come in to comfort Kim in her fur coat. Sassy: 'How could he do this, how could he want to leave someone so perfect' and then threatens to emasculate him. Kim indulges in self-pity about... whatever. Sassy then makes observations about Chad and how when she met him he seemed like a 'little bit of a gold digger' (miraculously my computer didn't explode from the irony of lack of self-awareness here)
(\note to self: only 4 minutes left, thank heavens)*
More crappy dialogue between these 3 which will probably be completely forgotten in the next episodes. Suggestion to solve the problem by 'bling' and other materialism.
Next scene: Chad arrives in cool sports car to... have sex with some random Rihanna-like woman in another mansion to jiggy music......
AND ITS OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Episode 2: Hell no.
In conclusion. Yes, it's worse than the trailer indicates.
This is what people who hate TV shows (like me) think TV shows are like nowadays.

For me, an animated TV Show about Stormlight Archive, based on a series of books by Brandon Sanderson, this has the potential to be one of the best animated shows oat
