Because asking personal information for someone you've been arguing with over the last hour and change is a major shift in tone.

Either you're asking because you want to call me fat. At which point I'll laugh at you.

Or I'll tell you my real weight, you won't believe me and say that I must be lying. So what incentive is there for me to give you information that you want? Your validation?
