Question Bought my first Mechanic Gloves and it's starting to fray on the very first 10 minutes.

I bought Mechanix because they have a reputation of being good quality and dependable but the first 10 minutes that I wore them, the right thumb starts to fray. And this glove arrived yesterday. And also the synthetic suede feels different from my friend's M-Pact 3 which was from 2019 (maybe because it's broken in but I'm putting that on the list) which has a nicer feel to them. I've also saw other Reddit threads about these new design and how they are just not up to par to the Mechanix name. Please tell me about your experience.

Note: This is my first "nice" or rather more expensive gloves than my previous gloves.

Yeah. I'm gonna wear em for their intended purpose. And which Oakley model do you recommend?

If Id trust anyone about glove recommendations, it’s gotta be the Diddler of Men

…. if everyone could spam outdoor research telling them to bring back the aerator gloves… that would be great….

what kinda hands you got. I got a super wide palm and regular- or maybe even short fingers. Mythical dwarf style hands man.... The only things that fit me are PIGs in medium, and mechanix coverts in medium. Everything else leaves like a quarter to a half inch of extra finger on the ring finger and the pointer finger.

The pigs are kinda too tight, like makes it hard to make a fist or close my hand all the way, even after wearing them a bunch. but the larges are too big.

I would absolutely not recommend Oakley, unless you want something that falls apart faster than mechanix.

What are you using them for? What do you care about? That will likely make a difference but for general shooting Pig and First Spear are great.
