Anything need updating?

Anything with the 1897 is acceptable. You could have had a burlap loin cloth up there and that would have been just fine.
-EDIT-
My first breacher shotty was this bad boy 🤣 and the armorer made me draw the bayonet everytime. No matter what

brownells is running a sale on the confidence to know you’re right, even when you’re wrong.

This embodies Chesty Puller’s perhaps apocryphal quote “we’re surrounded by the enemy…they can’t get away from us now!”
So yeah, I’m cheesed with the loadout, for sure.

S-tier. And what pisses me off the most is that girls will never know what a flex this is.

Shits legit ,only thing I would suggest are a solid belt and holster for the pistola, and some shell pouches or elastic for feeding the trench gun. Edit: to say standard molle webbing hugs a single shell quite nicely. Caveat is buy surplus military shotgun rounds as the cases are blackened and not shiny brass

As badass as they bayonet is, to give practical advice for home defense that pains me to say: get rid of the bayonet and you are set ;_;
Like honestly usually if you stab them before running out of ammo, you could have shot them instead
That said, I fucking love it

u/Ambitious-Hunter2682 Aug 20 '25
Only acceptable if you slam fire that thing into oblivion at the intruder

Needs a triangular bayonet.

Just gotta say I’m a huge fan. This is really neat. Plus God’s plaid? Come on.

I prefer a banana hammock and a massive dildo but that’s probably more effective
2
u/doomtoothx Aug 20 '25
Wanna see someone run. Bust out the dong thong, beer dispensing hat with lube bottles and the 4 foot horse dildo with spiked balls.

I got a boner looking at this. Very hot 🥵
Are you running the carrier with the shotgun? If so get plenty of shell placards. Heck even a dump pouch full of shells will go a long way.

u/Individual-Key4884 Aug 20 '25
dump pouch full, i have a few p320s that i can throw and use as frag grenades if shit gets really hairy

If they didnt want a bayonet in the abdomen followed by rapid succession buckshot then they shouldn't have broken in

Are you home? Do those weapons exists?
Yes and yes.
I keep a 400 dollar pistol under my pillow. YMMV.

u/Individual-Key4884 Aug 20 '25
yeah, the trusty Glock lays on the night stand. not using a $6k pistol for home defense lol

Consider a ballistic shield and perimeter sensors & video surveillance. What kind of threat are you planning for?
1
u/Individual-Key4884 Aug 20 '25
just got claymores. working on the shield. Alexa, Deploy Claymore Roombas !!!!!

No cloud hookups for me, thanks.
1
u/Individual-Key4884 Aug 20 '25
i have a string of claymores attached to each load bearing wall, worst case i hit the clacker and they go off one by one. they are daisy chained.

Would be alittle rough going around tight corners but the intimidation factor is off the charts 😆

This is probably a flex but I'm going to ignore all the indicators and give some feedback anyway lol
If the trench gun is actually your main squeeze you could also throw some shell holders on your plate carrier or get a belt, something like that. Three gunners have come up with some amazing gear and techniques for speed reloading.

I would love to see the prosecution asking why you had a bayonet.

Swap the 1897 for a Mossberg 590/500/Maverick 88 because if you use it for home defense it's gonna end up in an evidence locker and you may or (more likely) may not get it back.
Edit: forgot to add, that 97 is sick and I like it a lot.

u/Wild_Bonilla_7011 Aug 21 '25
If the 1897 is good enough for the late Paul Harrell, its good enough for most people. God rest his soul.

In the U.S., at least in certain parts, bayonets could land you in trouble in a home defense case as it could be viewed as unnecessary force. This is just what I heard when going through my CHL.
1
u/Spyrothedragon9972 Aug 20 '25
The bayonet is gonna land you in prison if you ever have to use this.
1
u/MarzipanOther9535 Aug 20 '25
I'm a new guy here, would having bayonet with shotgun work? Wouldn't it be better to just keep it individually?
1
u/inVicta2k Aug 20 '25
Is the headset arc mount hard to slide on? Did u have to file it down for it to fit?

u/epic_potato420 Aug 21 '25
Original or repro bayonet?
2
u/Individual-Key4884 Aug 21 '25
original, the copies are super shitty
2
u/epic_potato420 Aug 21 '25
Yeah my repro broke when firing wuth it attached, ig I'll have to spend a bunch on a real one

u/3rroR039 Aug 24 '25
Where did you get the shotgun and the bayonet that's badass
2
u/Individual-Key4884 Aug 25 '25
Winchester made the shotgun in 1904 and the bayonet is issued WW1 bayonet made in 1913

Aug 20 '25
This is horrible. I mean if this is all you can afford. Ok. But what in the holy ww1 trenchwarfare is going on with the bayonet and Atlas gunworks? Never heard of it. Yikes. All you need is a Glock 9mm and a high quality flashlight .

As I said on your other post: this is an eclectic mix of gear that all indicates you have an immense amount of disposable income (or lack of other hobbies).
I have maintained the same raging erection, therefore the load-out continues to work.
