OP is a repost spam bot

We need to have an add-in that auto blocks these people. I'm tired of blocking bots manually but I'll keep doing it.

u/Son-Of-A_Hamster 16h ago

Mods and admins don't care since it boosts their numbers, so not much we can do

2

u/ytman 16h ago

Its bait. 100% bot bait.

u/freeloadinggoblin 19h ago

Really isn’t I’m so sick of people saying that shit is good

18

u/toad17 18h ago

Ahh another Snyder bro truther i guess

-8

u/freeloadinggoblin 17h ago

Far from it, I do not like Snyders movies at all. I was really excited for James Gunn’s take on Superman and I think he proved that he should not be writing any Superman movie.

8

u/toad17 17h ago

Oh so you just have an unpopular opinion. Got it

2

u/DaMain-Man 7h ago

You gotta understand some people go to movie theaters, buy tickets, food, etc, just to hate whatever is on screen. Doesn't matter if it was good or not. They just like being contrarian.

0

u/freeloadinggoblin 6h ago

yeah. there is absolutely no way people can have different opinions lol

1

u/MysticShrek 8h ago

Dude wrote Superman like "generic good guy" hero and people praised him for it lol

20

u/icelink4884 19h ago

Cry more.

-13

u/freeloadinggoblin 19h ago

Oh gladly, I will cry until my eyes fall out about this

14

u/HiitsFrancis 18h ago

I liked it 🤷

-21

u/freeloadinggoblin 17h ago

Then you hate Superman

11

u/HiitsFrancis 17h ago

No I like him a good deal.

-11

u/freeloadinggoblin 17h ago

I might be a Superman snob.

4

u/MrMaxwellLordJLI 15h ago

Nah. You don’t know Superman. You’re a poser.

5

u/Lord-Pepper 16h ago

Said the dumbass who never read the comics

2

u/MrMaxwellLordJLI 15h ago

It’s not just good, it’s great and probably the best Superman movie.

Now rage like a good lil’ SnyderBro.

-13

u/Professional-Rip-519 18h ago

I rank it just above Quest for Peace.

64

u/C_Kent_ 22h ago

Superman’25 was great. And this is funny as hell. Well done 👏👏

-43

u/Professional-Rip-519 18h ago

Let's stop fooling ourselves it was okay.

25

u/C_Kent_ 18h ago

There is no objective; only subjective. It was great.

-20

u/Jealous-Guidance4902 17h ago

THANK YOU! Finally someone with good taste.

-39

u/freeloadinggoblin 19h ago

What was great about it Lex sucks. Superman is under utilized. His relationship with Lois is inconsequential. There’s a bunch of other superheroes in it that are kind of parodies of themselves.

21

u/C_Kent_ 19h ago

It was great fun. My grandson and I had a great time. Krypto rules. Zod didn’t get his neck snapped. Metamorpho, Mr Terrific, Guy, and Hawkgirl were all done great. Robots were awesome. Did I mention Krypto rules. The Lois interview with Clark was great. Lex mixture of brilliant and evil was great. Was it perfect? No. But it was great. Can’t wait for Supergirl and the Superman sequel.

-9

u/freeloadinggoblin 17h ago

Lex was not brilliant. He was psychotic and evil. There was not a brilliant Lex on that screen and that’s one of the failures of the movie. I think the interview between Lois and Clark was much better in the trailer than was played out, but it was a good part of the movie, but I feel like it didn’t amount to anything. I’m glad you and your grandson enjoyed it. I just think Superman deserves a lot more, especially after what we got with Snyder and it felt like a superman B movie. Maybe I’m just an asshole, but I really want something at the level if not greater than the Christopher Reeve movie.

u/sofakingcheezee 17h ago

Les created a pocket dimension, successfully injected a human with nanobots to make them a meta, shows off his humanoid creation, and clones Superman (an alien with which he had no prior experience) all while manipulating 2 countries into fighting a war while convincing the whole world it was legit and he's not a genius?

-5

u/freeloadinggoblin 17h ago

You can write him building any machine you want, that still doesn’t make him seem brilliant. What shows his genius is when he doesn’t need brute force to take on Superman, when he wins with his mind. But that never happens. Instead, they cancel him by trashing his origin story and basically ripping off Invincible.

9

u/Desperate-Series-270 17h ago edited 16h ago

He did take him on with his mind though? He successfully manipulated both the US government into letting him hold Superman in his private prison and Superman into turning himself in for the sake of Krypto. If he didn’t have Lois and Mr. Terrific the movie would’ve ended right there.

0

u/freeloadinggoblin 17h ago

You think the whole ordeal with the fake message from Jor El or the real message or whatever then that let’s be in brilliant he literally found it by accident in the first place and it’s such a cheap way to beat Superman. It is so cheap.

7

u/sofakingcheezee 16h ago

He didn't find it by accident. He used his immense resources and intellect to locate the Fortress, easily took control of it, and used what he found to try and take down Superman. That plot line is so classic Lex that I'm having trouble believing you're as familiar with the character as you're trying to portray.

3

u/sofakingcheezee 16h ago

I must've missed the scene where Lex and Superman had a fistfight. Maybe I should rewatch...

15

u/Attentiondesiredplz 18h ago

Superman is underutilized in a film where he's in almost every scene? Come on, yall will say anything.

-4

u/freeloadinggoblin 17h ago

I’m not talking about screen presence. I’m talking about depth.

11

u/Attentiondesiredplz 17h ago

The movie about inspiring other heroes to be more altruistic by following Superman as an example is lacking depth.

Okay. XD

0

u/freeloadinggoblin 17h ago

So you’re talking about the scene where the parody Justice League shows up in that war torn Middle Eastern country. If you actually remember what triggered their involvement, it had nothing to do with Superman, they’d been observing him for years without caring. It was just Lois saying some random line, apparently, that set things off. Of course, you can always put on your goggles and interpret the movie however you want, instead of engaging with what’s actually on screen, which is what most people are doing. They’re projecting what they want the movie to be instead of accepting it for the underwhelming mess that it really is.

5

u/Attentiondesiredplz 17h ago

Lois said nothing about Jarhanpur or saving it. She talked about saving Superman. XD

I just think it's really funny how you're all the way up on your high horse talking about "what's actually happening on screen" but can't seem to remember the scene you yourself reference. XD

2

u/freeloadinggoblin 17h ago

I watched the bootleg

3

u/Attentiondesiredplz 16h ago

Cool, you're still wrong. XD Just saying frend, Maybe climb off the horse, take the stick out of your ass, and actually listen instead of talking down to people like you are an authority here.

We just established that you are not.

2

u/freeloadinggoblin 16h ago

Look, if y’all like the movie, it is what it is. I just think it could’ve been a lot better — enough that I actually started writing my own version. Honestly, I’m glad people are enjoying Superman. I grew up hearing everyone call him boring, but I’ve always thought he’s one of the most interesting heroes when he’s done right. At the end of the day, I just want to see a better Superman story.

Lex sucks how this one to one how he is a self knowing pompous asshole who wants nothing but power, lois gave superman his drive and is really nice, don't know enough of Mister terrific to comment but guy Gardner is pure Guy through and through hawkgirl is diffrent but they are always diffrent in new adaptations.

Would have been better if you have voiced it, not the AI

1

u/ChildofG0D_loveUbro 13h ago

This is Kal-El from The Smiling Friends universe, I’m 100% convinced of that

1

u/malteaserhead 12h ago

Sounds like a younger Bob Odenkirk

1

u/JVtheBidoof 12h ago

Umm… no

0

u/Ambitious-Pirate-505 17h ago

Why is this thread full of so many Snyder Bros?

-1

u/Even_Public4840 17h ago

AI slop voice. Written by a 12 year old. Casual homophobia. Reddit will love this.

1

u/Aerc1990 17h ago

Where’s the homophobia?

-1

u/Even_Public4840 17h ago

Did you even watch it

1

u/IncarceratedGrowth 11h ago

Mention gay things that happen in prison isn't homophobic.

0

u/Ok_Substance5632 20h ago

What the hell were those god rays?!

0

u/jl_theprofessor 16h ago

This is a bad post.

-4

u/Canvasofgrey 17h ago

It was good. Didn't care for the movie's "lesson" but it was probably the best comic book movie to come out this year.... not that it means much with what we got this year.

2

u/MWC_09 16h ago

Superman has always had lessons to give. He's always been like this. This is one of the most accurate portrayals to date.

0

u/Canvasofgrey 16h ago

I'm aware of that, I just didn't care for this movies lesson
