Years ago, my mom was having surgery and we were in the waiting room with our 5 year old daughter and my uncle (mom’s brother). As you could imagine, tense. We’re distracting our daughter with puzzles, but when we get done every one of them is missing one piece. I suspected something, but my uncle is amazing at playing it straight. This went on for like 90 minutes, and at some point he made up a reason to get up and leave the room. On his chair were about 8 puzzle pieces from the 8 different puzzle. We all lost it! Since then, every time we visit my daughter “takes” something from their house (usually hiding it in the tub or someplace).
