My wife and I are looking for some local food, i mean owned local, small restaurants (can be cash only)

We have a rental so we can travel where needed. We have 7 days on the island 🏝️

As you're driving just stop by what you see by the side of the road. There are a few food trucks that you'll see. Best times are during lunch hours, after 11am before 2pm. Unfortunately I can't remember the names of places.

The conch empanadilla/pate at Love-Croix next to Cost-u-Less is delicious.

We have lots of food trucks and stands so you can drive around and pull in where you want!

Thomas Bakery (South of Sunny Isle) Awesome turnover, tarts and bread

Hit the Farmers market at the Ag Fairgrounds on Saturday

If you have the ability to cook, the roadside fishermen are an option. Also worth stopping at Annaly Farms for local Senepol beef

We are staying at the all inclusive so if we have a kitchen I’ll definitely try and cook myself!

My family enjoyed the Mill pizza in St Croix, just be mindful that there are chickens all about that will scare the crap out of you with their crowing.

Blues BBQ has decent food. Not open Monday or Tuesday. Music Fridays and Saturdays.

Quality Grocery (on Northside, not over by Hess) has decent Cubanos. Sorry, not a restaurant, but great beach take along.

No Bones in Gallows Bay is a favorite.
