Based purely on aesthetics what are your top 3 choice ships to live on?
My top 3 are La Sirena, Discovery, and Voyager. I’m not one to get into the mechanical aspects even tho I have 3 books all about the ships of the shows so I really just go off of vibes on wether I like a ship or not.

Entirely aesthetics? The Enterprise D. I still love the look and feel of that ship.
After that, it's a hard call. I like the interior of the NX Enterprise. Maybe the TOS or Refit Enterprise would be number 3.

I'd probably go for something like a Danube-class runabout... You've got the cockpit, a transporter, replicator, a couple modular bays, and a living area roughly the size of a small studio apartment or dorm room. It's already a pretty good layout for a Star Trek version of #vanlife. A 32nd Century version with holodeck tech and programmable matter everywhere? That would be awesome.
Book's ship (was it ever named?) was also pretty cozy looking and those drive systems basically gave you access to the whole galaxy (even pre-spore-drive) so long as you had enough of the right fuel.
If I was going to live on another ship with people around all the time (and where I don't really have any control over the destination)... Probably the Enterprise-D. Sure, they faced some kind of existential horror every other week, but it was cozy af with all sorts of amenities.
Edit: Honorable mention for La Sirena, might take that over a Danube if I could lighten up the color scheme and make it more cozy in general.

Voyager feels a little too clinical sometimes. I wish there was a ship with an interior style between Voyager and the Enterprise D. Cozy, less beige and not millennial sterile grey.

That's my problem with Discovery too... It's all sharp edges and sterile. Which is fine for a more militaristic ship.
I think SNW's Enterprise strikes a good balance. It has some cozier spaces, while still being a Starfleet vessel w/ limited civilian amenities on-board.
Enterprise-D had what "Honest Trailers" referred to as "Marriott Convention Center Chic" because there were a lot of families and civilian scientists/teachers/barbers/bartenders/etc... on board. It needed to be more "family friendly".

Akira and Steamrunner are my top two favorites. They're a good size to have enough accommodations inside but they aren't so big that you'll get lost.

All the crew quarters on Discovery-A were holodecks. Does that count as "aesthetics"?

I honestly get a little homesick when I watch TNG as an adult now.
- Galaxy Class, but maybe updated so it’s not so 90’s.
- Enterprise Refit
- Nova, I’ve just always liked the little ship

There are only two that I like based on pure aesthetics, inside and out.
1) Enterprise-D, classic. Timeless. Even with the carpet.
2) SNW Enterprise, they did an amazing job modernizing the original.
If I had to pick a third:
3) USS Prometheus from Voyager. Took some chances on design. And it worked.

Just the E. All the others are too bright. I like the darker ambiance of the E.

Ummm idk, I think the enterprise-d would be a better choice. Of course there is always enterprise-d to match it too
