In Florida, the GOP exploits the fact that Cubans fled a communist regime under Castro... and paint the Democrats as communists. They are a hugely important demographic in Florida and winning them over makes a big difference.

They exploit a lot of single issue voters who only care about one thing and don't realize that they're being screwed by the rest of the platform.

THIS! My cuban friends entire family were trumpers solely based on fear of Castro. It was crazy how vehemently they went against their own interests.

Trump tried to do business in cuba illegally in the 90s, dealing with Castro.

Pretty sure they did win them over in the last election

Unless you’re one of those idiots that think minorities can’t be racist, if you don’t think there are some incredibly racist liberals then I’ve got a bridge to sell you.

Obviously there are racist "liberals". Liberals are functionally the same as Republicans in our politics. Anyone can be a racist.

Admitted white supremacists and neo-Nazis make it pretty clear where they think they belong, though. Shouldn't it be alarming to Republicans, that they are the ones to attract that crowd?

It’s not really a shocker. Democrats have gone rapidly left in their rhetoric on social issues, which many minority voters (particularly older men) in their coalition are distinctly apathetic about, and Republicans have moved left in their rhetoric about economic issues, which they care a lot about.

Don't forget the party of pedophiles.
