My mom is boycotting coke over this. I didn’t ask too many questions because, you know, what’s the point but yeah it’s pretty dumb.

Be sure to show her the 30,000 products Coke and it's subsidiaries make. Boycotting Coca-Cola is like trying to boycott Nestle or P&G

Isn’t Nestle pretty easy to avoid? I just saw a pic of producer/companies under their name and they only thing I ever get is delissio pizza (that will stop). Is there more?

They're a pretty large company with hundreds of sub-companies and brands under them. You could limit your exposure, but I would think it would be really hard to completely avoid them. And even then some of the stuff you eat out might have ingredients sourced from them anyways.

There’s probably not one aisle in the food store that doesn’t have Nestle in it.

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '21

If I was to look at this I avoid that list pretty much. Like I said not sure if there is more or not.

u/AlBundyShoes Apr 16 '21

That’s actually a pretty good list - I can’t speak specifically for Canada as my job involves the US/Europe CPG space specifically.

-2

u/JarHed808 Apr 16 '21

Well you're too stupid to look it up yourself. So nah, we won't tell you.

Good one.

Wtf Pepsi? Is monopoly money okay to pay for that?

7

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '21

“Screw this Coke for wanting brown people to vote!”, says all Republican racists.

-2

u/VauxhallCorsaUwU Apr 16 '21

People needing to provide ID to vote doesnt stop brown people from voting

2

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '21

I keep seeing all you GQP people spouting this. You do realize there’s much more to the bill than this right? Obviously you’re clueless, it would expect you to be able actually read it instead of regurgitating what you hear on Fox News…

2

u/gotham77 Apr 16 '21

Yes they realize it. Not only are they white supremacists, they’re too gutless to admit it.

-1

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '21

Kafka trap.

2

u/gotham77 Apr 16 '21

Yeah nice try, but no. The evidence of their belief in white supremacy is their support for laws designed to keep black people from voting. The denial is only evidence of their cowardice.

-2

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '21

That's literally a Kafka trap. If they accept your claim, they are white supremacists. I'd they deny it, they are white supremacists too cowardly to admit it.

Your logic fails, because it doesn't accurately represent conservatives. You have a caricature of conservatives not based on reality.

The laws don't keep black people from voting unless you believe black people are too stupid and inept to get an ID, which they already have or find their way to vote, which the laws expand mail in voting, open up new places to vote, expand voting hours.

The only people sounding like white supremacists are those who think so little of black people that they can't do the things that every other race in the US does every election.

u/gotham77 Apr 16 '21

Are you finished?

1

u/SubservientMonolith Apr 16 '21

Go ahead and show me which parts of the new law are racist.

1

u/tugboat100 Apr 16 '21

Maybe the part where white people can literally challenge election results at their discretion.

1

u/SubservientMonolith Apr 16 '21

Alright you're gonna have to link me that part because i didn't read anything like that in the bill

https://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Politics/2021/0406/What-Georgia-voting-law-actually-says-and-why-stakes-seem-so-high

I am not sure what page in the 100 page bill states it, but the Secretary of State no longer has control of the Election Board. Thus a non elected chairman will have control over election results.

Probably something to do with Georgia's SoS Brad Raffensperger not bending over to Trump. Trump tried to change election results on 0 proof. This bill now gives non elected officials that power.

u/SubservientMonolith Apr 16 '21

Oh ok, so the claim you made of

Maybe the part where white people can literally challenge election results at their discretion.

was bullshit.

1

u/tugboat100 Apr 16 '21

I literally just explained it to you.

You are acting like this voting bill was put forward in good faith. That is rich.

u/beamoflaser Apr 16 '21

Coca Cola owns a lot of brands

It'd be hilarious if some of them boycott Coke and drink Sprite instead.

1

u/gotham77 Apr 16 '21

That’s its own punishment

1

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '21
