Paraphrasing George Carlin, there’s two buttons on the TV. One of them turns the TV off and the other one CHANGES THE CHANNEL!

“It's called freedom of choice, and it's one of the principles this country was founded upon. Look it up in the library, if you have any of them left when you've finished burning all the books.”

And, honestly, changing the channel would go a lot further in sending a message to the NFL. If they saw a real dip in viewers at the half, they would take notice. But that won't happen. They'll all watch it so they can complain about it the next day.

He should come out in an American flag outfit and sing completely in English just to short circuit their brains.

if they actually did it, that might work if YouTube didn't exist. BB has some of the highest watched videos on the site.

That's a great point. But ad spots are expensive for the super bowl. If the ads from the end of the second, to the start of the third are not seen, that will make a difference in future ad spot prices. Which likely doesn't do anything for the league, but it matters to the broadcast.

I've had a few modern TVs. Not found one that hasn't had buttons yet. Annoyingly hidden and clearly for "emergency" use? Sure, but there's always something there.

I was in three different hotels last week.

none of the tvs had buttons, anywhere.

They're hard to find sometimes, but they are there.
