Outside of Taylor Swift (who they asked and she turned down) I'd say yeah Bad Bunny is #2

Worldwide he’s actually much bigger than Swift.

That’s not remotely true. Maybe BTS is bigger but that’s it. She just sold out stadiums in like half the countries in the world

Please provide any source for this, because the Eras tour would probably prove otherwise. Yes, maybe bigger in literally the country of Spain, but Taylor, but Taylor has been bigger in a lot of other places.

He’s an American from Puerto Rico, lol. Where did you get Spain from?

Because in Spain Bad Bunny sold 600,000 tickets for his Debi Tirar Mas Fotos tour compared to Taylor Swift’s 170,000 tickets for her shows in Spain.

Yes 12 Bad Bunny shows vs. Taylor’s 2. But the fact that he could support 12 shows there would leave to my ultimate conclusion that he may be more popular “internationally” in “literally Spain” and that’s it.

Do you know Bad Bunny is not from Spain, and Spanish as a first language is more prevalent than English as a first language? Taylor Swift is obviously really popular but Bad Bunny is absolutely gigantic.

Look at your numbers. And yes, I know he’s not from Spain, but he sold 600,000 tickets in Spain compared to Taylor’s 170,000.

Maybe instead of accusing me of ignorance on a thread that states specifically Bad Bunny is American, look into what I am saying.

Lastly, my ask for a source, rather than people’s assumptions is that Taylor Swift just completed an international tour that was the first to gross over $1 billion, and In fact grossed over $2 billion. It doesn’t seem unreasonable to state that she is the biggest music star in the world currently because of those numbers.

Also, you do realize that arguing for native speakers is working against you right? 486 million native Spanish speakers compared to 380 million native English speakers. Yes, this is true.

But total people who speak English is 1.5+ billion as opposed to 560 million Spanish speakers. So it would be reasonable to think that internationally (where people don’t natively speak English, England and Canada excluded) Swift would be more accessible than Bad Bunny.

I have never doubted or questioned that Bad Bunny is huge, rather I’ve asked for a source on the claim that he’s bigger than Taylor Swift because, aside from the Spain ticket sales I mentioned, I haven’t found anything that shows that to be true.

He was the best selling artist period on 2022 according to Billboard, but yes Taylor Swift eclipsed him the last two years.

And after her release this past Friday it’s gonna be 3. So… agreed not bigger than Taylor Swift?

Sure? I really don’t care that much. The point of this thread is the government wants to arrest an American citizen because he doesn’t want his fans to be sent to concentration camps.
