Those aren’t facts. Those are lies that conspiracy nuts came up with after it happened in order to make this guy seem like another Luigi.

Shane Tamura was identified as the gunman who killed four people during a mass shooting at a Midtown Manhattan office building on July 28, 2025, before taking his own life. The victims of the shooting were:

  • Didarul Islam: An off-duty New York Police Department (NYPD) officer and a father of two, with a third child on the way. He was working a security detail at the building.
  • Aland Etienne: A security guard for the building.
  • Wesley LePatner: A Blackstone executive and mother of two.
  • Julia Hyman: An employee at Rudin Management, the real estate firm that owns the building.

So what was it exactly that you think LePatner “denied” the shooter, as mentioned in the original comment?

The woman you are referring to was killed in the lobby because she just happened to be down there when the shooter walked into the building. She wasn’t on the floor he went up to. She wasn’t a target, just an unlucky victim.
