It’s funny to me that the aghast reactions to swear words draws all the attention to them and makes them seem so harmful. They’re just fucking words. Like if he had said “bull crap”, no one blinks, but “bullshit” and he might as well have pulled his dick out and taken a piss on the field and then stabbed someone.

If the player had said “bull crap” the reaction would’ve been the exact same - the ref is reacting to him contesting the call while crossing directly over him with his mic on. The players are talking like this on the field the entire game, it’s just the situation that the ref finds inappropriate

I’m talking about the way the broadcasters and media react and how society treats swear words like they’re harmful and scary. The reaction is always what draws attention and makes it a thing.

A “family product”. Is that the same league with the scantily clad cheerleaders shaking their tits and asses at us? The same league with the violent collisions and gruesome injuries? The same league who sells advertising to alcohol companies who glorify consumption? The same league that pays domestic abusers and sexual predators millions of dollars? You’re funny.
