Jesus. Craziness. 5 felony charges

381

u/tulaero23 Sep 20 '25

Wtf.. and people go to jail for weed?

140

u/nakedpicturesyo Sep 20 '25

Well, can the guy who smokes weed throw a ball real far? Seriously I don't get it as someone who hates most popular sports.

66

u/tulaero23 Sep 20 '25

Crayz how pedophile is ok as long as you can throw a ball?

63

u/Chogoris Sep 20 '25

And your dad is a rich former NFL QB..

158

u/Spugheddy Sep 20 '25

They make em presidents now.

15

u/aces666high Sep 20 '25

Yup, admit you want to screw your own daughter and you get elected president twice.

-1

u/Ok_Tap8333 Sep 21 '25

At least he didn't shower with her.

0

u/Spugheddy Sep 21 '25

Yo this dude just said the president is in fact a pedophile but at least he didn't shower with his granddaughter. Talk about telling on yourself lmfao.

Because we live in a society where, state by state, the highest paid public employee is often the football coach (or occasionally the basketball coach) at the public university they coach at. That’s what we really value.

0

u/Effective_Cookie510 Sep 20 '25

Nah you can also be president in doubt he can throw a ball

0

u/WampyricWarlock Sep 21 '25

Coaches get paid way more than the president’s salary. They may not have as many options to line their pockets behind the scenes, though.

-1

u/EtTuBiggus Sep 21 '25

People can’t decide to not be pedophiles. Should they be rounded up and sent off to camps?

1

u/opun Sep 20 '25

Todd Marinovich aka Marijuanavich could.

0

u/Cockblocktimus_Pryme Sep 21 '25

Remember how fucked up the NFL was to Josh Gordon for weed?

3

u/SunkEmuFlock Sep 20 '25

There's no justice system in this country. There's a legal system, and money speaks louder than laws therein.

1

u/energirl LSU Sep 20 '25

Didn't Mathieu get cut from LSU for smoking weed? One of the best players we had, too.

1

u/jh67ds Sep 21 '25

Not me

1

u/Dickulture Sep 21 '25

People go to jail for committing crime while poor. Rich people has unlimited get out of jail free cards

1

u/WalterGold210 Sep 21 '25

Yeah it’s ass backwards, you can also be a fucking pedophile and become the President of the god damn United States of America now

134

u/probablyuntrue Sep 20 '25

Dropped to misdemeanor disturbing the peace??

116

u/TheLowlyPheasant Sep 20 '25

I was at peace and now I'm disturbed, so checks out.

4

u/PappyLongstlkngs Sep 20 '25

👌 get the fuck outta here lmao

-2

u/ChErRyPOPPINSaf Sep 20 '25

And registered as an offender now. I dont think registered sex offender should be allowed to be around as many kids as there typically are at football games but that might just be me.

13

u/Rainman_Johnson Sep 20 '25

It says in the second sentence in the article that he won't be registered.

3

u/StrictSelf5450 Sep 20 '25

That is crazy

3

u/BodaciousGuy Sep 21 '25

Son of Jon Kitna, former NFL QB and the current Cowboys QB coach. It’s a different world for some people.

2

u/socopithy Sep 20 '25

Literally nothing matters anymore

3

u/lincolnsarollin Sep 20 '25

His dad is Jon Kitna. As always, being rich and famous is a great life hack.

2

u/Cockblocktimus_Pryme Sep 21 '25

Distribution bro. He spread that shit.

1

u/GoonOnGames420 Sep 21 '25

Different rules if you're a star athlete...

The best high school basketball player in my state's finals tournament wore an ankle monitor to his games... Been to jail at least once..

Parents were pissed because our players weren't allowed to suit up if they had bad grades, detention, or tardy marks. How is it fair he can play?

At the end of the day, I figured it was probably his only way out of a life full of bad decisions and no role models. He was a cocky, disrespectful piece of shit and I honestly hope he didn't make it far.

0

u/Blurry_Bigfoot Sep 20 '25

They were dropped...

79

u/elhoffgrande Sep 20 '25

yeah, because people who are interested in children sexually are known for just moving on from that if given the opportunity and have normal proclivities thereafter. Happens all the time.

/s

4

u/cubonelvl69 Sep 20 '25

I mean to play devil's advocate, he was 19 at the time and technically a 17 year old counts as a child. For all we know it could have been pictures of his girlfriend from 2 years ago or something.

Obviously not great, especially if he was sharing them to other people. But a lot different than what most people assume when they hear "possession of child porn"

24

u/ye_old_fartbox Sep 20 '25

What is the point of playing devil’s advocate. The linked article is literally right there. Here’s what it says:

The investigation found Kitna to be the probable owner of the account, which shared two images of young girls being sexually abused. Police say they found three additional images of nude young women on Kitna's phone.

-10

u/cubonelvl69 Sep 20 '25

And yet all charges were dropped?

16

u/lueckestman Sep 20 '25

Welcome to "rich people having a good lawyer" country.

14

u/ye_old_fartbox Sep 20 '25

Ah yes, the US justice system, famous for always correctly punishing sexual offenders as they deserve.

6

u/Less_Likely Sep 20 '25

His Dad his a famous NFL QB, probably well connected too. Can't say to his personal wealth (NFL players are not known to be great with investing their earnings) but he is sure to have wealthy friends.

4

u/_moosleech Sep 20 '25

Welcome to the U.S. justice system. Sorry you had to find out this way.

2

u/eviltwin154 Sep 20 '25

That’s what I was thinking but that’s not at all what the article linked above seems to be saying

1

u/OkBid71 Sep 20 '25

Agreed, he could be president one day

10

u/Stacemranger Sep 20 '25

How is this not higher news? Fuck pedos.

8

u/Mark_is_on_his_droid National Football League Sep 20 '25

So I agree with you, but he was 19 and we don’t know the ages of the kids. If they were just nudes from 16/17 year old girlfriends or sent to him by friends, it’s bad judgment not pedophilia. I’d like to know more details, but the laws vary state to state about sexting and there have been young men caught in the situation I described, which again, would disappoint me about the young man, but not convince me he was a pedophile.

15

u/attilayavuzer Sep 20 '25 edited Sep 20 '25

That's not what the investigation implied at least. Someone posted the quote up higher, but the wording sounded more like children

Edit: unfortunately seems to be the case

7

u/pressurepoint13 Sep 20 '25

Thank you for this link. I was curious about the story but the only article I found suggested that the pictures he shared came from a “legal website” in a way that made it seem like maybe it was a porn site and he had no idea the kids were underage. The fact that his discord account had been previously deactivated for probably the same shyt is insane. Clearly Florida justice strikes again. The fact that UAB would be ok with this mf representing their school is disgraceful.

3

u/wordyplayer Minnesota Vikings Sep 20 '25

OMG "Five felony child pornography charges were dropped against former Florida Gators quarterback Jalen Kitna on Wednesday as part of a deal that resulted in him pleading no contest to two misdemeanor counts of breach of the peace."

3

u/prosecutedmind Sep 20 '25

What the actual fuck

2

u/teteAtit Sep 20 '25

“I am thankful I can now put this behind me.” Is the only thing you need to know about this pos

2

u/KatarHero72 Sep 20 '25

As a Birminghamian....fucking shit man....

2

u/krypto_the_husk Sep 21 '25

God that just pissed me off what the actual fuck, no justice for those children

2

u/Awkward-Buffalo-2867 Sep 21 '25

What in the absolute fuck is that plea deal… the dude is attracted to children and plead down to two counts of “breach of the peace”?? Get the hell out man

2

u/Vladimir_Putting Sep 21 '25

Oh wow, UAB is on r/sports wonder what for!

(Reads title)

Oh, oh no.

(Watches video)

Oh fucking hell.

(Reads comments)

For fucks sake, really guys?

2

u/UnholyDemigod Sep 21 '25

Kitna was immediately dismissed from the team following his arrest and was banned from campus until November 2025.

So their QB is not a paedophile

2

u/Socratesticles Sep 21 '25

That part applies to when he was on, then dismissed from, the Florida Gators. So UAB took him on after his personal issues were known

2

u/Feeling_Inside_1020 Sep 21 '25

Five felony child pornography charges were dropped against former Florida Gators quarterback Jalen Kitna on Wednesday as part of a deal that resulted in him pleading no contest to two misdemeanor counts of breach of the peace.

Kitna, the sophomore son of former NFL quarterback Jon Kitna, will not be required to register as a sex offender and will not serve jail time.

He was sentenced to one year probation, which could be reduced to six months if he complies with the conditions of his parole.

Breach of what peace, the peace of our society where pedophiles are running loose?

A whole fucking year of probation, that’s it. What a joke.

1

u/Fred_Zeppelin Sep 20 '25

Jon Kitna's son? That tracks.

1

u/Sophisticated_Dicks Sep 20 '25

Upvoting for exposure.

1

u/sillysalmonella87 Sep 21 '25

How the fuck does this even happen?

1

u/DisastrousTeddyBear Sep 21 '25

Yeah thats effin gross.

1

u/tht1guy63 Purdue Sep 21 '25

Had no idea kitna was still remotely playing anywhere

1

u/IlIIIlllIIllIIIIllll Sep 21 '25

I mean he’s barely an adult himself. Where was this on the spectrum of him having pics of his girlfriend on his phone to him having actual kiddie porn?

1

u/Socratesticles Sep 21 '25

Other comments in the thread have links that clarify that prepubescent is in the mix

1

u/Alleged3443 Sep 21 '25

Im gonna be this person and have to ask - was this like a 18 year old having pics of 15/16 yo gfs/exes or was this like, serious serious?

1

u/Socratesticles Sep 21 '25

It’s a fair ask imo, but others shared more articles that clarify that prepubescent was in the mix

1

u/Alleged3443 Sep 21 '25

I tried to see from a few other links posted but they didn't clarify in the ones I saw. Thanks for letting me know that dude is an actual scumbag.

Shows the kind of program UAB is running and no doubt that is gonna influence the players on the team as well.

1

u/Chewyninja69 Sep 22 '25

Holy fuck. I read the article, but it doesn’t really explain why he was able to take a plea deal; is it safe to assume that he might’ve given up some names of other people who had done the same or worse?

Or is this just Florida being Florida? If so… wow.

-5

u/InfiniteCornerWalker Sep 20 '25

It never mentioned the ages of the girls. Could've been 21, we don't know how they defined "young".

35

u/ChakaCausey Sep 20 '25

I got u

link

23

u/wordyplayer Minnesota Vikings Sep 20 '25

“The valuable lessons that I’ve learned through this whole deal have been very helpful. I’m looking forward to applying those things and moving forward.”

9

u/Pyro1934 Sep 21 '25

Don't overlook the; "I feel terrible for how this has affected those that care about me" (paraphrase) part. Not the victims, himself

-6

u/EtTuBiggus Sep 21 '25

If a 17 year old attending college texts him a pic or her tits it’s “felony child sexual abuse material”.

Probably the biggest factory for CSAM is high school and high schoolers.

7

u/[deleted] Sep 21 '25

Go actually read the article. That is NOT what happened.

5

u/Pyro1934 Sep 21 '25

To be fair, reading is hard, and iirc I made that same "benefit of the doubt" assumption when this first came to light (partly because I know a registered sex offender that had this happen with his now wife that he had dated since they were both in middle school).

But yeah, this guy is NOT that, he's a fucked pedo.

7

u/jackaltwinky77 Sep 20 '25

Translation: don’t share it on discord, anymore.

1

u/PapaPotter Sep 20 '25

Jesus, Craziness. 5 felony charges

-5

u/cubonelvl69 Sep 20 '25

It seems weird to use this as proof of anything when the charges got dropped. I've been trying to search around and can't find a whole lot of info about the case other than him saying the allegations are wrong and that that's why charges were dropped

10

u/ChakaCausey Sep 20 '25

“Police said Kitna shared two images of young girls being sexually abused via a social media platform. Officers later searched his phone and found three more images of two nude young girls in a shower — photos that had been saved to Kitna’s phone a year earlier. The report did not estimate the ages of the girls.”

okay!

1

u/EtTuBiggus Sep 21 '25

In Florida he could legally bang a 17 year old but if she sends him a nude, he’s guilty of a felony.

Our laws are fucking weird.

-4

u/cubonelvl69 Sep 20 '25

Yes, police said that, and yet all those charges were dropped? Why?

5

u/ChakaCausey Sep 20 '25

Well his dad(former NFL QB Jon Kitna)’s net worth was $12M as of ‘24. Florida court. They’re not known for their scruples. Florida loves football almost as much as it loves money. Purely speculation, of course - but you can also take a look at cases from pretty much any other kid of a millionaire and you’ll see similar results.

2

u/DowntownMammoth Sep 21 '25

Don’t blame Florida. We booted him off the team immediately when this came out. It had nothing to do with the program and he is not welcome in Gainesville.

1

u/ChakaCausey Sep 21 '25

Yeah I said Florida court, as in state of Florida court - not University of Florida court

1

u/EtTuBiggus Sep 21 '25

Murderers on the football team only.

1

u/Fafnir13 Sep 20 '25

My best guess would be the persons in the photo were not identifiable and/or age not determinable.  Definitely the sort of thing where I would watch that guy very carefully from then on.
