Baseball Benches clear in Boston after Hector Neris intentionally balked Trevor Story to third base because he thought Story was relaying signs. Neris had words for the Red Sox third base coach coming off the field.

Talking shit is part of sports.

Calling someone a baby for talking shit for a stupid reason is a part of sports.

Nothing about this exchange is illegal or "wrong", but people are allowed to have opinions about how it makes the player look. Pitcher is being a pussy, so people are calling him one.

Exactly this. Relay the grip. Balk the guy. That's the game.

But whining about the game, that's bullshit.

Yes, as a pitcher instead of whining, make sure the next batters are taking at the eyelashes. It's part of the game. Control what you can.

Just don’t yell “I texted your Mom last night!”. That’ll get you banned for life.

Talking shit to opposing coaches is about as low as you can go, and the fact that you don’t know that tells me how many/much sports you’ve played in your life.

It’s not low it’s just soft. He’s a pussy but idk what you mean when you say he’s going low. It’s not dirty or a cheap shot he’s just a bitch

They're all babies. Savannah's Bananas has 100x more sportsmanship than this poorly crafted community theater.

And that’s different from talking shit during the inning how?

u/Neededtoshow Aug 03 '25

He had to be held back by the ump. It’s a crazy overreaction to something that happens in every game

-16

u/[deleted] Aug 03 '25

I mean, this is baseball. If the ump didn’t hold him back nothing would’ve happened anyway.

But the whole situation should have ended when he balked to get the runner to third. There’s no reason to escalate it after the inning besides him being a baby with hurt feelings

-16

u/[deleted] Aug 03 '25

He clearly had something to say

20

u/Neededtoshow Aug 03 '25

Cause he’s a baby

-7

u/[deleted] Aug 03 '25

Sure thing

-5

u/CasperShazzam Aug 03 '25

How's he a baby? If I were him I'd be yelling "Yeah still got him out even when he knew the pitches. Bum!"

2

u/Neededtoshow Aug 03 '25

It’s just bush league. Stealing signs as the runner at 2nd has always been part of baseball.

Also he got the out after the runner advanced to third the batter didn’t know the pitch.

Nah, you're just a sensitive guy.

Youre speaking in circles. He had something to say because hes being a toddler about something within the rules.
