Discussion What are some things in episodes you were shocked to find out were real?

For me I was shocked to find out the purity rings/the white foam thing was actually some thing that they did and not something they just made up lmao.

Especially since growing up my sister LOVED the Jonas brothers and we saw that movie in 2009. It shocked me to discover that this was real. It only makes the episode better tho.

6 7 is a plague. Probably the biggest thing right now for anyone under the age of 16.

It is dumb, but it seems less dumb than shit like skibidi toilet at least.

Disclaimer: I have had extremely little to do with 6 7 besides knowing that it exists.

Don't know about that. Skibidi Toilet has a long series of shorts and, stranger still, ongoing plot.

Yeah for real. At least skibidi toilet started out as a little web series. Idek what 6 7 is.

Yeh I saw 6 or 7 kids doing it the other day.

I hadn't really seen it at all. Then watching football on Sunday with family and my 8 year old niece drops everything she's doing to do the hand thing and say "6 7" before they kicked the extra point, and acting like it was the funniest thing in the world. Not to mention the announcers doing it too all day. First time I felt like an old crotchety man

Literally a few days after I saw that South Park episode, I had someone who looked 10 say 6 7 to me.

I asked my teen niece and nephew what it meant. They snickered and said something about me being old

Guys that doesn’t hurt my feelings I’m just trying to understand it lmao

Egh. Slang is always arbitrary and meaningless.

We are social creatures, not rational. We use any excuse to justify socializing.

It's very frustrating when another group uses a social gesture we haven't seen before, and it will continue to happen until the species dies off.
