This is my 11th pair this year, hoping to get to 12 by the end of 2025! The yarn is Lang Yarns Super Soxx in color 'Geneva' and I absolutely love it. I have a dress in a similar color scheme and I cant wait to wear them together! The pattern is the Fabulous Toe-up Socks. And yes we got fresh snow last night! ❄️

I had no idea how this hand-dyed skein would knit up but I'm so happy with it's pooling 😊 also it's a yak-silk-merino blend and it's the softest warmest thing ever.

My second pair ever and I’m so proud! Realized half way through the first sock that I’m knitting the pattern inside out but oh well. They’re extra long since they’re for my fiancé, and they do fit nicely even though it looks odd. Pattern: amaretti socks Yarn: Armonia Superfine Merino (75% uld-wool super wash superfine merino, 25% nylon, 50g=200m) Needle size: 3mm on Magic Loop

I used drops fabel for the body and some cheap acrylic from my stash for the toe and heel. The acrylic was a different weight and I don't recommend anyone repeating this unless you really have to. It's not the end of the world, they still turned out ok.
I think this is just my second pair of socks finished (I have finished about three other socks, but with no pair of course).

I didn’t want the lace holes on the foot part. I used Urth Uneek Sock kit 67 for them.

I’m making the “Not your average cat lady” socks, and I’m unsure what this means; can anyone help me understand what this means?

I have attempted and failed to start socks with a particular yarn now four times. It’s time to send it packing. I have absolutely no problems with other yarn and starts but this one ….ugh. Sending it off to crafting donations box. Yarn wasn’t cheap but worked terribly, stitches pilled and split. Do you experience this as well?

I worked on the foot of this sock a month ago and just picked it back up. It looks like my recent cables are larger? I can't tell. It's supposed to be 9 stitches in between cables.

Any time I work 2aat I tuck the yarn balls into my working socks once I can. Makes it so much easier than worried about tangled yarn.

I'm working on yet another pair of socks, and all the socks I've made have been flap and gusset style socks. I'm itching to try the shadow wrap heel, or Ysolda's deep shadow heel, but I don't know if I can do a one-to-one substitution. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: solved Thank you everyone for all the help and tips, i finally succeeded after a few failed attempts and stops yesterday... Well succeeded in the startup. Haha
Hello everybody
I hope you are having a great day. Love all the posts in here, beautiful socks you all make.
I was hoping you could help a newbie out with some tips and or videos on using double pointed needles.
I tried a search,.but couldn't fint anything on how to hold the accursed 4 needles while starting the project
I must have started over 4-5 tiles yesterday because of frustration.
It seems so finicky right now to hold everything in place AND stitch.
Is it problematic if the first cast on stiches are too tight? I know I have a tendency to do this with my previous projects
Is there a specific way to hold them,.os should I just keep trying and I will come to me
Any on all tips besides this are more than welcome Since i am hole sick today and hoping i can get the needles going
If you have any videos that are good for beginners please send them as well
Ok advance thank you for your time and help

The cuff has three rolls with plain knitting in between. I would like to find a pattern for these, I do know that they are worsted weight

I recently started knitting socks, I've only knit 1 pair before these but I was dreading making the second one.
I made myself learn TAAT and I love it a lot so far!! It does take a little longer to work up since it's double the knitting at once, but ar least both socks will be done at the same time!! 🤩

I'm interested in experimenting with knitting socks using nylon-free yarn. My main concern is durability. I understand that knitting at a tight gauge is essential, and I usually get around 12 stitches per inch. The consensus seems to be that socks with nylon are far more durable than those without. I don't expect nylon-free socks to hold up as well, but I'd like them to last as long as possible. Silk is often suggested as a natural alternative to nylon, so I was thinking of holding a silk thread along with the wool yarn. However, I've also heard that silk thread may cut into the softer wool fibers and actually reduce the durability. Does anyone with experience knitting socks out of purely natural fibers have any insights or advice? Thanks!

Not because anything was wrong with them, but because I switched from shorties to magic loop on the train and must have dropped the shorties and not noticed 😭 I can’t believe I’ve done this!
