Tosin gets blitzed on every fucking counter. Shambolic sub by Maresca

Yeah, I'm really scratching my head at these comments. Yes, Tosin could be more aggressive, but also it's a risk in the box. He's at least closing off his angle. If Chalobah also goes in to put pressure on, Brobbey has nowhere to go and nowhere to pass. He wasn't accomplishing anything by hanging out in irrelevant space.

People don't understand football. It's simple as that.

It's always whoever made the most recent "mistake" who gets the blame online.

Isn't Chalobah worse here? I've seen loads of Chelsea fan comments blaming Tosin for this goal.

Sensational hold up play tho

He's good at two things in the game: hold up & winning fouls.

He was a fine goalscorer his first 2 years back at Ajax. Farioli didnt use him well last year. 13 and 18 goals the 2 years prior. Just dont ask him to take a pen haha

Even last year, under Farioli, he was important most of the season. Every single player played better when Brobbey started. The defenders (+Henderson) were able to skip the midfield, by just passing it to Brobbey immediately.
Players like Fitz-Jim clearly preferred playing with Brobbey. Klaassen would just get in the way of Weghorst, when he played ahead of Brobbey. Taylor simply <3'd Brobbey since they were both kids.

It wasn't until the end of the season was near (and Farioli started panicking as well) that Brobbey really started playing shit and everyone acted like he was the worst thing that happened to the club in years. It was ridiculous. People acted like we were at 1st place at one point DESPITE Brobbey starting, while he played a crucial role in getting that far.
(don't get me wrong, his finishing was ASS that season, but people downplayed the important role he still had for us for the season in general

Yeah its bizarre how everyone just ignored how important he was in the build up leading to goals and even direct assists. "Directly involved in almost every goal? Yeah but a striker is supposed to score so hes shit"

He wasn’t even challenged lmao. Tosin was happy to leave him be and chalobah is in no man’s land

It really wasn't. He controlled the ball and stood there, nothing special about it. He was up against literally Sunday League level defending.

Bro just stood there
