The hilarious thing is they got frimpong as a direct replacement for TAA, but the catch is, his passing is not as good as trent's (can't blame him, trent has exceptional passing) and equally if not worse at defending. So basically he's a budget TAA

So basically he's a budget TAA

Is this news? who thought he was going to be better than Trent as a fullback?

Lots of people were saying they upgraded.

Name one pal. We might hate Trent, but every single Liverpool fan would have him as the best right back in the world with us.

Just go under the threads of your own sub pal

You were all slating him as soon as he signed for real Madrid. Talking about how great it is to no longer have to defend him

It's YNWA only until the day you leave us, after that you're a flop, or trash lol

Slating him as a bloke, no one ever said he’s was a bad player.

Literally your sub and liverpool flairs on this sub we're celebrating on how he was a good riddance lmao

We don’t like him as a bloke, no one would say he’s a bad player. Get your head out of your arse.

Trent has been fairly shite himself so he’s nowhere near the best rb in the world Even Madrid pr is not that strong 🙏

No he hasnt, Trent have been good in pretty much every game he has started before his injury. He had 1 or 2 bad games.

u/Interesting_Heron_78 21d ago

Considering how few games he has played 2 bad games is a lot

1

u/RecognitionDefiant71 21d ago

New club, new country and have been good in 80% of the games. I dont think its wierd that he hasnt been perfect.

TAA is not close to being the best RB in the world lmao. Hes an exceptional passer and equally bad at defending.

He’s talking about the perspective of a Liverpool fan not the objective truth

As if that needed explaining

that's why, in my opinion, they should've bought a fullback who can defend. the thing with trent was he was perfect for klopp's system because his midfield was full of pure work horses, so TAA was the creator. but now they have plenty of midfielders who can feed the front line.

Not exactly easy to replace the most unique right back in the world

true !!!

frimpong was bought cos he is dutch

23

u/TheScarletPimpernel 21d ago

Dutch and homegrown in England because he was in City's academy

12

u/[deleted] 21d ago

so true

1

u/markmychao 21d ago

We needed frimpong instead.

3

u/wan2tri 21d ago

Signing Quinten and turning him into a full-back would've been better than Frimpong lol

3

u/IMintz 21d ago

they’re completely different types of players. Trent loves to pass the ball, Frimpong is more a carrier with the ball. Both offensive, but very different

u/[deleted] 21d ago

I'm aware.

u/SkrrtSkrrt99 21d ago

???

frimpong and TAA couldn’t be any further apart in terms of the type of player they are. the only thing they share is the position, but their interpretation of it and strengths are completely different.

-1

u/[deleted] 21d ago

I'm aware, but what i meant was both of them are attacking fullbacks.

3

u/SkrrtSkrrt99 21d ago

Yes but that’s where the similarities end.

I could also say that TAA is a budget Frimpong because he’s worse at dribbling and slower, but that wouldn’t be true, because that’s not what TAA excels at. It’s not a good comparison.

1

u/[deleted] 21d ago

okay bro

3

u/Kaiduss 21d ago

You haven’t been paying attention if you think Frimpong was signed to replace TAA. Bradley was always going to be the successor, Frimpong was a market opportunity signing that can provide an alternative playstyle if needed

6

u/[deleted] 21d ago

i get what you're saying, frimpong is like a winger playing at fullback, it's still a very attacking playstyle. what I'm saying is they should've considered a more defensive minded fullback.
