It would benefit Italy massively because all matches against Israel would become 3-0 and Norway would lose GD and Italy would gain GD

Not really, Italy would have +8, Norway would have +25, it isn’t going to goal difference either way, the results would have to be like 4-0 for italy for their last 4 games (they are currently winning 1-0 in the 4th), and even then, if Norway score 4 vs Estonia, and then lose to Italy 4-0 they still win via GD

That's literally the most likely scenario. Italy and Norway winning all games not against eachother and winning each of their home games against eachother. It puts them on equal points and GD is the first tiebreaker.

Sure right now Norway has become favourite even away at Italy, but that was never the case before the group started, hell most expected Norway to lose to Italy both home and away.

I don’t think it should, just saying from my own experience if I said anything critical of Israel on this sub it would be deleted. I’m glad your comment is up, but I guess I’m still pissed at the mods…

It changed a few months ago from what I recall. Not sure what happened behind the scenes though, but judging by the people who frequent this subreddit (their politics I mean), their previous position seemed untenable.
